How to communicate mom I'm doing what I want regardless of how she feel?
Today my mother told me she wished she had never had me. I be pregnant about a two months ago and after a few insults about how I wasn't competent in raise a child (I'm 29, educated and work a professional job) and how difficult unplanned pregnancy can be- she said "Look at you and you were planned, maybe I made a mistake.." !!
This unsurprisingly came about two months after she told me me being pregnant be the second worse thing that happened to her in her vivacity!!
The first of course being my father's death.
Ways to brand your kid feel bad. Ick. The funny part of this is that I do plan on self pregnant again within the year. What will I do then!
Answers: Just remember this... What your mother says to you... is nil personal against you. She had her own issues in life. and in a minute is taking out her frustrations on you. She may have been dissatisfied with how her time turned out but if you let her "opinions" effect you... you may feel guilty and make a declaration for "her sake" to please her... but end up ruining your life in return. Remember this is your life span, your journey... nobody else's. Say what you're doing.. be confident and stick to it
you could not change somebody's mind, even you parents. So, change your mind, you'll be more sunny with the new-attitude.
