Whats the craziest article you be told while pregnant?

when I was maybe 5 months pregnant and still working, I squatted down to work on something and a co-worker freaked out and told me to stand up because I was going to crack my baby's organizer!...
what the hell? i've not hear that one yet..
LOL! Aren't people nuts? People told me I was crazy for not getting an epidural, that I be being ridiculous by staying away from secondhand smoke, that planning to use cloth diapers was weird, that I shouldn't lay on my stomach (I be 2 months pregnant at the time-- she thought I'd "squish" the baby). My aunt was sure the hospital I chose was too far away. She kept telling me "you'd better hope there's not a snowstorm! You could enjoy that baby in the CAR!" Yeah... my first child is going to be born before I can attain to the hospital? I felt like I spent the whole pregnancy ignore people.

My sister told me that if I lifted my arms above my head the umbilical cord would wrap around the baby's nouns. It didn't.
Someone told my sister that she needs to get ride of any cats she has because they will hurdle up on the baby and sucks its breath out of it's mouth. I have heard this a few times from some really behind the times ladies. It is kinda disturbing that they even believe it still to this day.
someone told my mom that because she be going to have twin BOTH of her breats would get smaller.LOL maybe they did...idk. but it be ina restaraunt and it was a stranger. (i was in my mommy's tummy.)

oh and htis isn't crazy. but wager on in the 80's early 90's (I am 14.)
my dad had a rat tail. ew i know. and he said that if my mom have twins (when they learned she was pregnant) he would cut it off. she have twins. LOL.
Not to sweep or vacuum because the placenta would detach...um yeah right, our house gets swept daily.
Lol when I was pregnant, I was within work and lifted my arms up to get something and someone said I shouldnt do that because they babys cord would get wrapped around their d¨Ścolletage!
Answers:    When I was like 6 months pregnant at work I bent over, at the waist. Like, I didn't bend at my knees and a co-worker freaked out on me telling me I be cutting all the oxygen supply off to my babe-in-arms!

I don't think that was really true...lol!

I also heard the one more or less putting your arms over your head.
"You are carrying it all up front so it must be a boy."

It wasn't.
Oh there are some good ones, but the one that sticks out for me is brilliant. I was have lunch with my ex-supervisor from an old job, I be about 14 weeks at the time, and she advised me with the direst of sincerity not to conquer up for anything in my third trimester (like, to get something off a soaring shelf) lest my placenta detach. She said her mother told her that if she stretched even a bit during the last 12 weeks her placenta would detach and she would hemmorhage. I thanked her for the advice, but enjoy continued with my prenatal yoga beyond 32 weeks just the same.
