Me and my wife maintain aggression over what to moniker our first son, what should we do?
She wants to name him Leo, her fathers handle. I don't like it sounds old, too short, and he's my son not her fathers. I want to first name him DeMarre, something similar to my own name. She don't like because it starts with a "D" (me, my sister, and two nieces adjectives have names that start with the reminder "D"), and that it sounds too "black". I'm black and shes spanish by the way. We understand that a compromise would naturally be to permit one be his first name and the other his middle name. But we can't agree on which one should be his first name any. Some opinions about the names we choose or some other describe suggestions would be nice.
Reaching a compromise is the best idea. U can put the names together, like you suggested. I one-sidedly like Leo DeMarre. It sounds really cool and interesting, so i suggest that u two do that.
Flip a coin, play rock paper scissors, or negotiate with her by saying, "Fine you get to christen this one. But you got to give me another so I can give it the baptize I want to give."
OR you could get a third party to weigh surrounded by on it. Ask someone outside the family which they think is better.
Personally, I kind of resembling Leo better as first name and Demarre as the middle.
how about DeMarre Leo or Leo Demarre? Or try to combine the two. LeMarre? Hope this help my husband and I had the same problem with our daughter! I considered necessary to name her Emma Nicole but he didn't like the Nicole too close to Anna Nicole he said so we ended up beside Emma Rose Marie Good luck and Congrats on the new addition!
dont even bother.
1st; me and my guy argue all the time when i be pregnant and we thought it was a girl at the end was a boy.
2nd: once you are at the hospital you description of change the name, it will feel dutiful in your hear when the name is right. all the arguing not worth it.
3rd:compromise flip a coin or get a poll.
leo is a very dignified name! i like it
How about you write a list of baptize that you like and she write a list of names that she like. If you both have any of the same names on both of your list, name your baby that.
Answers: When I was pregnant my husband and I (mostly I) went through baby signature books and web sites and wrote down anything that sounded like a possibly good moniker to us. Then later we would go over that list and respectively of us had unlimited veto power. It has to be unlimited, because both of you will be using that name for the rest of your lives. But if one of us really needed a certain name, the other would consider it for a day. Sometimes when you walk back you realize it's not so bad. But still, if one wants to veto consequently it's vetoed.
You should end up with a list of name that no one vetoed, and after a few days go back over it again, until you've both get a name that you love. Both of us vetoed many names, but presently we can't imagine our son named anything than what we chose together.
You should both find one name you similar to. Leo sounds like a weird old guy and DeMarre sounds close to a redneck name. You should both compromise on a good name.
you should each pick out 3 names and but them within a bowl and then u each pick out a name and afterwards you put the name that u each picked out in another bowl and which ever your wife pulls out is the first dub and what ever u pull out is the second name or vice versa! Source(s): my awesome brain! it works trust me!
You do have to compromise...why dont one of you pick the first and other pick the middle identify. Then you can both have your ways!!
out of the two, i prefer the name leo. so I don`t know you should name him leo demarre? or you can find him a whole new given name but have it starting with a "d"...
you could look through a baby names book or combine your name you want and the autograph she wants or put the name in a headdress alot of names then pick one out without looking
My husband loved the Dallas Cowboys. When we found out we be having a boy he immediately wanted a jr. I'm not crazy more or less his name so I looked through a baby name book and found Dallas. I know he would love that. So, although I am not 100% sold, we compromised.
The other night someone made a comment about it and I overheard him say, "You know what, she's carrying it and I see the toll it take on her and also how connected she is with him- ultimately it is her decision." When I heard that I couldn't believe it. He is not usually that type to read out things like that at all. So, now more than ever I want my baby's describe to be Dallas.
Leo is a great name and does not sound old. Also, lately because he's your son doesn't mean he has to have some module of your name. Why can't you guys scarp both names, look in a infant book and think of other options. Good luck, it's tough.
Just let her describe it
I prefer Leo. I think it's modern and unique. Leo DeMarre sounds a lovely strong autograph
How give or take a few naming him Deo ? Or Deon ?
DeLeo or
DeLeon ??
I surmise you should just start over. Why fight?
They don't sound completely good together though, Leo DeMarre v. DeMarre Leo.. plus adding whatever the end name will be.
Keep looking.
How about James?
I don't close to either names. I'm sorry you guys are fighting, and I fathom out why you guys don't agree on names. You guys should realize that Leo nor DeMarre will be the names of your first son. The best idea is to drop both name together and start from scratch.
What kind of names do you guys resembling? Unique? Classic?
Here are some names you guys might like...
Dominic
Reggy
Roger
Robert
Jackson
Nathaniel
Langdon
David or Dave
Those were simply names of some of my friends. It might be good if you guys could do a mixed name? It doesn't work other but if you guys agree on lets a consant or a genre of a name i.e American starting with an "R" or soemthing. It might be easier? Also, see how it sounds next to the last name.
Good luck
In my evaluation, DeMarre is too close to De Merde which means sh!t in French.
Well let me inform you. Us women go through a lot. We go through PMS and later our period and then ovulation. We get pregnet and it hurts and we travel through periods of mourning sickness. While this is going on we have to clean the house step to work and all that stuff and sometimes depending on the man hear them complain and anoyin stuff like that. We then enjoy to go through labor and then giving birth. While you as men just hold the fun of making the baby and seeing her being pregnet with those side thoughts of omg i so glad i not a women.
So you can see that she the women who have to go through so much should be able to name her own child. Leo as FIRST and DeMarre as middle. :]
put the names on a dart board and whoever can hit their name three times first wins
