Moms or moms to be can answer?
Anyone had a hiccup with YA??
Here is my original question...Y!A says it's deleted?
This is not an important question but...
What do you think of 16 and pregnant on MTV? Have you watched it? If so did you see the Farrah Sophia episode?
Ok I am 24 weeks preggo with my third child. I was flipping through the channels last week and caught 16 and pregnant on MTV. I am 28 I haven't liked MTV for a while to tell the truth as there really isn't much Music on it. Anyhow I caught the Farrah episode.
It made me sooooo mad! I know how stupid right? I actually rolled my eye's and said was arguing with the TV about how it was going.
She's sixteen and clearly not mature. When she started arguing with her mom about how much her body will change and how she won't be puffy after having the baby. To how she didn't want to breast feed cuz her boob's would sag which her mom agreed with. The doctor stepped in and said well with all pregnancies your boobs will sag. Then while she was in labor she looks at the dr.'s and nurses and said I am so sorry you have to see my crotch? Ewww love the language. Then after he lifted the baby up for her to see she was like. She's got something on her face you should wipe it off?
Telling her mom to shut up and all she's just rude. I couldn't stop watching. Shamefully I am watching it again. lol some people say shame on MTV for glamorizing teen pregnancy.
What do you think?
I dunno...I won't let my kids watch MTV period. So I dunno really It shows how immature these girls are thinking they are going to have a doll to dress up but when the baby comes it's funny to hear them complain.
I do hope all goes well for the families that are shown on there and any where going through it!
I have no desire to watch it.
Sooooooo, what was your question? I'm wondering why you're watching such garbage. I've seen it advertised and refuse to watch it.
I seen some of it. All it was;
A little rich girl got knocked up. Done. Period. She was NASTY to her mother, who was also a * if you ask me. The show gave false information/examples about what it's really like to have a baby at sixteen. Source(s): Was a teen mommy twice over.

too lazy to read this. Source(s): ;)
Answers: sad huh but soon enough those bad choices turn into learning experience for these young kids having kids.and with a little of gods help both parents and child survive through those tough times. we are the only animals that trip over the same rock twice. we learn not by others examples but by going through the pain our self.
How horrible! I've seen the show, just not this episode. I hate how MTV is glorifying these teen pregnancies!!
However, it's not only 16y.o. that are this immature about childbirth. There was a girl in my birthing class who made me constantly roll my eyes.i wonder how she's doing now?!
wtf?
I didn't watch it, I don't watch MTV. But, it sounds like they are glamorizing teen pregnancy. What do you think a 16 year-old thinks while watching that? "Hey look, they're on TV! Maybe if I get pregnant I can be on TV too!!" And they probably don't show what it's like to actually care for and raise that baby. As a parent I can say that pregnancy and motherhood is generally glamorized and I don't think any one knows what it's really like until they have a child they have to care for 24/7. Being a parent is very hard WORK...that's what they need to convey to those teens. Source(s): Just my opinion
i have seen a couple of episodes, my favorite part of this one is when Farrah is lying in bed and shouts "I think my water broke!" Then her mom had to check to see if this was what really happened (I kinda noticed when my water broke and didnt need anyone to tell me that i was sitting in a puddle). Then they decide to go to the hospital, the girl just jumps up and puts on her coat and walks out of the door, all without even changing her pants.
I saw one other episode, both were majorly staged. Also, both gave false information. When I first saw that this show existed, I thought it would be more like True Life, which is a show i do enjoy. I think that girls do need to know what it is like to be a pregnant teen, but this show misses the mark completely.
