Anyone on WIC??

Just wondering how well it works, what all do you get self on it?
I hold wic. its super helpful. you get lots of milk and juice. you seize eggs, peanut butter, cereal and cheese. if you breastfeed u get dried beans and canned, fresh, or frozen carrots. if you do not breastfeed it also pays for formula. i be told on august first wic was changing. it will then include integral grain bread, jars of baby food, fruits and vegetables.

this is for wic contained by mn i don't know if it changes from state to state
'been on WIC like , three months straight. Can't shake that government milk maid.. get me trippin' balls. I"d say stay off it if you can... and don't permit them slip you any of that "cheese", that poison will have you freebasing half and half within a week. . just say SOY!

Work?? Great at first, but now I'm so lactoaddicted I can't so much as look at a chalice a milk without going into a creaming. (that's withdraws in the pasture). There be a time in my life where I would've punched my momma within the face for a pint of cottage cheese.

Seriously though..

As far as what you get?

WIC is a nutrition program that provides:

* Foods such as milk, juice, cereal, cheese, eggs, infant formula, tuna and carrot
* Nutrition education to improve family condition
* Breastfeeding advice and support
* Referrals to doctors, dentists, and other community services

My advice:
Use in Moderation because it's not impressively healthy(no fruits, not much veg and many many milk,cheese,egg hormones) and get rotten as soon as you are able. Good Luck Source(s): I been to the dairy AND back!
I chew over it kind of depends on what state you live in I live in georgia and on pregnant women wic you return with milk,juice,cheese,eggs,and peanut butter same as kids! And for infants you get 10 cans of powder formula or 15 bottles of premade.It save you some money!
I'm not, and quite frankly, I can't really understand it. :/ The things you catch for free are pretty much dirt cheap anyway (seriously--how destitute are you that you can't afford a $2.50 gallon of milk and a $0.99 cent bag of beans every week? A 24 count package of store brand American cheese singles is usally on sale at Kroger for $1.50) The solely people I see using it (and sorry if this is offensive) are Mexicans with like 6 kids, and they adjectives have milk, juice, eggs and cheese on the conveyor belt.

I can understand the food stamp program completely--buying a week's worth of groceries can be massively expensive, but most of the items WIC covers are some of the cheapest things in the store! ($1.00 dozen of eggs, $1.50 jar of peanut butter, etc.) If you can't afford those totally inexpensive items, how are you going to afford to raise a child! I've often wondered if the associates who sign up for that program truly need it. I just did some research, and for a family of 4, you enjoy to make less than $40,000 (roughly) per year. You should be able to afford simple items such as dairy products and can goods. We're a family of four (soon to be five), one income, and I don't make too much more than that, and I don't own any problems affording groceries for my family.

It just makes no sense to me.
