How can I take my hubby to infer?

This morning when he woke up for work he tried to hug and kiss me and cuddle, but he smelled so sweaty and my pregnant nose just couldn't handle it. I told him I'm sorry, but I have to push him away from me. He got so upset because he knows its important to me to cuddle next to him in the mornings. He says I'm sending mixed messages. I think its adjectives that this was based on circumstance, but how can I get him to think through that? I've never refused his cuddles before, just today.
Wash his pillow. Give it to him freshed and fluffed. Do yours too and tell him the little sweat scent was making you a bit not a hundred percent.
Or, Jake I am putting off so much heat now it is making you perspired too much and ..
Speak to him about it. Honesty is the best policy. That way no ones emotional state get hurt. If you don't speak to him how will he even know. Males are pretty clueless creatures at the best of times but when it comes to pregnancy they are completely clueless unless told.
Answers:    Tell him newly what you told us--it's your hormones going haywire, and even the mildest smelling things (whether good or bad) are intensified 1,000 times. Assure him that you're not trying to be mean or hateful. :)

I'll never forget the hours of darkness I was pregnant with my first child, and my husband had be out working on the car. He and my father-in-law had gone out for a quick bite (White Castles next to extra onions). OMG. He showerd and shaved before bed, but when he got in bed, ALL I could smell be body odor, gasoline and onions. OMG that was awful. I was actually dry heaving, lol. His poor facade just crumpled. I assured him that I'm sure he was perfectly verbs, but that when women get pregnant, they become bloodhounds. :D

Just reassure him that it's really not him--you promise! You could also suggest to him (maybe try to make it subconscious?!) that he shower at night up to that time coming to bed. That way he won't smell as sweaty?
