How to take a babysitting opportunity?
I am 16 and I want to earn some extra money by babysitting. I really like kids and I am good with them. The lone problem is, is that I cant find anyone to babysit. I have asked my parents to talk to their coworkers, but most of them have elder children or live pretty far away. I was thinking of putting up posters, but there arent that many kids that live surrounded by my neighborhood. Does anyone have any ideas on how to find a babysitting job?
Answers: Go to local churches (they're usually expand during the week even when services aren't being held) and put up notices if they have a bulletin board, or, if you're not shy, ask the pastor, they might identify familes that can use babysitters.
I'd put up notices in libraries, little stores and big stores. Look in your local tabloid and maybe contact daycare centers nearby and see if you can leave your number nearby or post something there.
We have a local pennysaver and they only charge beneath $5 to put in an ad. Might be worth it.
Also, see if you can find your local pennysaver online and see if you can put an ad up for free. (Some local papers hold free online ads, but you have to pay for the print flier.)
