I live surrounded by Denmark and hold have a few friends that have abortions as their un born tot be diagnosed next to Downs?

actually. you hardly ever see people next to that syndrome around. I am from Ireland where it is more apparent. That is fine they are still normal populace just with some special needs. I am getting elder but want a baby. if one is born with downs syndrom would they be treated badly or would I be thought of weirdly for bringing a child into the world with special needs. I would never have an abortion.
My mom found out she was have a baby with downs and kept. it. why would any one abort it? they are beautiful, individual and really loving people. I wouldnt abort mine for the world.
Personally I would take the test but single so I could be prepared for what may lay ahead, I would still have the baby - but the reason for the try-out is to give parents the choice - I appreciate that not everyone can cope with the hand explicitly dealt them so I don't judge anyone who does decide to abandon.

No one knows what other things people have going on surrounded by their lives and how it may affect things for them, I do know a couple who have a grown family of their own and have over the later few years adopted 4 children with Downs - I think they are an amazing couple and really hold in the highest regard them for this - they have said though that there is a a high proportion of children near Downs that are in foster care waiting to be adopted - so even when the babies are brought into the world they don't other have the future they deserve :0(
Answers:    I am near the Danes on this one. I would never want a child with Downs by choice - seriously, who would?
I opted not to have Down's syndrome screening during my pregnancy because it doesn't make any difference. You will love your tot no matter if s/he has special needs and you will not be thought inadequately of, on the contrary, it's admirable. People with Down's can live fulfilling lives so I own never understood why abortions are allowed for this reason.
i didn't have the test either you will love your child no business so why test for something that could hurt them anyway
I did not have the test, it be a case of we play the cards were dealt.
Plus i loved her and i hadn't even met her, anything the case was i was her mommy she be my baba x
My mum was 41 when she have me. She was told the chance I had Downs be about 1 in 17 and was offered a termination at 23 weeks, the terribly last minute it's legal to have one. She said profusely her people tried to convince her to do it.

But she didn't, she blatantly refused and had me anyway. I come out fine and am 19, 15 weeks with my own baby. My chance of a toddler with Downs is 1 in 100,000.

Even if it was highly developed, I wouldn't get rid of it. It's my child that I created and I adore it with every part of my human being.
