Please give support to me get! When friends enjoy babies, I lose my friend. What do I do?
I'm 26, which I guess makes me the age at which people start having babies. I loathe to admit it, but it makes me sad when a friend tell me she's pregnant, because I know that she is about to disappear into being a mom and I will lose a friend.
I try hard to be supportive, throwing showers, knit baby sweaters, etc, but it's hard. The list of folks I have to lean on in my own life is growing smaller and smaller, and I discern so alone. I've joined clubs and groups, but the superficial friendships I make there newly can't compare to the life-long relationships I'm losing.
I know that most people have children and I shouldn't begrudge them, but I can't abet it. Why do these women keep choosing to throw away our friendships in favor of having children? Why am I so confidently set aside?
i don't think that they are throwing their friendship beside you away. they are just beginging another stage in their lives. when you finally become pregnant whenever you are ready you will realize indistinguishable thing too. that the baby consumes a lot of your time and life. if it's really bothering you that much then try talking to your friends i am sure that they will understand. you can even try to be more involved within their experience if they are okay with it. Good luck.
My God woman you're only 26! You sound resembling some aging spinster! Oull yourself together and get into your career.
