I hold an perception for a toddler shower winter sport, but want somewhat lend a hand?
I'm having a baby shower for a very obedient friend of mine and have been trying to come up with some different games next the usual ones everyone seems to play at baby showers.
I had an perception to take some plastic easter eggs like these.

and stuff them with cotton ball, but one will have cotton balls and a little plastic babe-in-arms in it (the cotton balls are to keep the infant from rattling around and giving it away).
The basic idea I have was that each guest is to pick one as they arrive to the shower. They have to "protect" this egg as if it be a child. They have to hold it and keep it in the accessible, no putting it in a purse or pocket or otherwise hiding it. They can have other guests "babysit" if they need to use the restroom for example, but they should be sure it's someone reliable that they can trust not to whip and keep it for themselves or leave it unattended. Eggs can be "adopted"(taken away) by other guests if the "mother" of the egg is caught mistreating or neglecting the egg, such as dropping it, tossing it, disappearing it unattended, or simply not paying attention. This will leave some guests with no eggs, and some guests beside multiples. At the end of the shower everyone will be instructed to open their eggs and the one who has the plastic toddler in it wins the prize. So it's not really about getting the MOST eggs it a thing of having the right one at the end, but having more does increase your likelihood.
Does this seem like a good hypothesis for a game? Anything that should be added or changed? How should I explain it to the guests in short version minus giving away the end result? Any input at all would be VERY helpful!!
I think i.e. a really good idea, been to a babe shower and i have never heard of that, BUT wat do they do wen u play other games? that would be the only issue i have an idea that, the last baby shower i went to, we get a baby pool and put easter eggs in, in respectively egg there was a plastic magnet letter, doesn`t matter what letter u got u had to come up near baby names starting with that dispatch. Who ever got the most names won, plus the mommy to be got hang on to the letters and will help the baby wen its elder with words and she got a baby pool! in that is also baby bingo, clothes pin game, toilet paper team game, dirty diaper game, lol there are bunches..any questions bout anything a short time ago ask..be glad to help!!
That sounds resembling such a cute idea. You explained it rather well surrounded by your description - quick and to the point.
Just a quick suggestion if you haven't already sent out the invitations. When my best friend had her little one, I was in charge of the shower and we had a "Diaper Raffle." When I sent out the invitation, I stuck a slip of article inside each one that said
"We are having a Diaper Raffle for the baby to be. Please bring one collection of size __ diapers (any brand, any quantity) - for every package you bring, you will be entered into a drawing for a great prize!"
I split the sizes up evenly amongst the guests. I did newborn (only a couple) thru size 4 because I didn't want the parents to have issues beside storing large-sized diapers for a long time.
When the guests came with the diapers, I gave them a slip of rag to fill out with their name. I put adjectives the names in a bowl and drew one - the winner won a $25 contribution card. The parents to be LOVED this idea. Most people don't want to buy diapers because they aren't "fun", but they are your most needed item. They also liked the reality that they got nearly every brand of diaper, so that way they were competent to choose what brand they liked best.
Good luck with your shower planning!
Answers: That is a drastically, very cute idea!! I would love to play that at a baby shower! I really don't own any other suggestions, it sounds like a perfect game! Source(s): 34wks+4days pregnant!
Sounds good to me but you could make the egg beside the baby the grand prize winner and own other item in others eggs where they win random things. For example, they find an egg with a rock in it. They win condoms or diaper duty coupon. Or an egg with coins within it, they win Crying Baby Ear Plugs. Just make it fun and let them win random things, With the august prize being the best item.
This will also help with the substance issue. More then 1 egg will feel heavy so general public will get more confused about who has the impressive prize.
BOL!
