Custody and paternity?

When you go to court to establish paternity with a paternity test... that have nothing to do with establishing custody right? Cause we are together and we plan on staying together we just are going so that we know for sure I am the father and it's printed other than the birth certificate. Thanks.

If you bring an action in court you will own to set up some type of parenting plan that establishes a visitation schedule and custody,,but this all varies state by state and Court jurisdiction.
