Second mitt smoke when pregnant? Thoughts?
Maybe you should listen to them instead of calling them names. Are adjectives three of their kids ok? If so, I guess you can't really question them. Can you? Talk about close minded. Source(s): If second hand smoke be as dangerous as people believe it is, there would be nobody alive surrounded by their 50s and 60s. They all grew up in clouds of smoke from their parents WW2 era.
I hold my breath just to walk by relations smoking :). It's not unreasonable to ask them not to smoke around you, research is certainly in your favor! If they can't honor that request then you stipulation to limit your time with them. The bumper pad argument is still doubtful but smoking is a well known no-no around pregnant women.
Second hand smoke is just as bad as smoking yourself. Especially while pregnant! I hold family members that still smoke and either when they bedside light up i * about it and they move or i just go sit surrounded by the other room. When im in the car with someone that smokes i will roll down every glass in the car just to cause a point. I had to quit my job working at a bar because of how smokey those places can win. I used to smoke until i found out i was pregnant. I quit and now i have never be more grossed out by the fact. It is really gross when you are sitting in traffic and all you can smell is someones cigarette smoke coming within your window from two cars up. I will never smoke again because of this!
My dad smokes, and I have asked him numerous times NOT to smoke around me when I come up. Yet he will not do this for me. He say he smoked when my mom was pregnant, so it won't hurt me. I think it is bull, and I am on the verge of recounting my dad that I will not come up if he can't respect my wishes. This is my body and my baby and all I want to do is protect my baby from any wound. I don't care if he smoked around my mom when she was pregnant, I don't want him to do it around me. It is just as unpromising as if you yourself were smoking. I don't smoke, or do any other drugs, and I wish my dad would understand how I touch and just respect my wishes. I usually try to go into another room, or go outside when he smokes, but I still have an idea that it's kind of rude.
