Im about to have my baby boy soon and ive other used tampons so i know nothing about what brand of pads are best, and since im going to hold to wear them for a while after i deliver so i want to make sure im not leaking every where.

I use the 'Stay Free Ultra Thin Over Night next to Wings" They are really long and are pretty thin.
Congratulations and Good Luck.

You should catch some from the hospital they are HUGE ones that work great however if you dont get those freebies. I just used nighttime Always with wing. They are the biggest kind you can get and worked really good for me. The first week is the heaviest and later it is just like a regular period for the rest of the time
Kotex, its so much more confortable and helps beside odor and holds it in.
Always with wings work for me. For right after the birth you will want hefty duty large pads. After the first few days a regular pad near wings will do just fine.
Answers: Take as copious of the ones they give you in the hospital home with you, ask for extras if you can, they are extremely large and seem like they would be the most uncomfortable things surrounded by the world (I was a total tampon user too) but they were the best in the first week or two post-partum. Once I run out of those, I liked Kotex regulars the best, regular overnights when the flow was still really heavy and after just the regular ones.
I tried the Always thin ones and didn't like them, irritated me for some source, and some other brand I can't remember. Who knows, it's probably a very personal choice so you may want to get a couple different kind and see which one works best for you, once you bring home baby of course, I don't mean a dry run. ;)
Always...they work great. If possible get the super over nights. They hold closely more, so those moments when you sneeze or cough...it won't go through.
Good luck in delivering...congrats.
