39 weeks pregnant, lost mucus plug weeks ago, have show yesterday getting little tightenings?

last appointment got told i was 1cm dilated and my cervix be very soft, midwife said ide go contained by within the next 48 hours and that was over a week ago! so i don't know if anything is going to evolve.
Answers:    the show means that labor is on its way. I had show and have my baby in my arms 24 hours later. the little tightenings you are chitchat about are probably the start of contractions!

also, dr.s and midwives try to predict when you'll have the baby but they really hold no idea. they told me i'd go NO LATER than 38 weeks and i had my tot two days late.
Everyone is different. If you like to bring about your labor sooner...try to do some walking.
Some articulate eat spicy foods, if you can take it eat small amounts.
If your competent to have some sex.
All this will help bring about labor.
In time your babe-in-arms will be here...take it easy, for the pain is no kid.
