Should we own another child?
I was very disappointed to learn that the toddler I am carrying, that they told me was a girl on my 18 week ultrasound, is in fact for sure a boy. I own a boy and I really wanted a girl but we only wanted 2 kids. My first pregnancy be so easy and this one has been really sturdy, with lots of physical pain. Now I feel hopeless and guilty because while I should be happy about having another clean baby, I am disappointed and already thinking about having another tot. I know I'll feel bad if it was another boy and when would it cease? Should we adopt a girl? Should I just learn to be happy beside what I have. I really wanted a girl. I feel so guilty something like the feelings I have (or don't have) for this baby very soon and I worry I'm not going to love him as much as my first child.
should love them both the same and be grantfull what god has sent u but contained by the end its all up to u
You should love them both equally and except the fact that it is a boy! and so what if you required on having only 2 kids, whats wrong with 3 kids? The 2 boys will be best friends and the sister will be the one they will preserve picking on, no matter what you will have this baby boy and it isn't tolerant for him that you wont love him as much just because you wanted a girl. some people can't even hold kids so you should really be great full for what god gives you.
Answers: Three things:
1. I think that you should just focus on your current pregnancy. You just planned to have two kids, but life often doesn't shift the way we plan. Just because this child is a boy doesn't mean there isn't a daughter within your future. So for now, just look forward to bringing your investigational baby into the world.
2. DON'T feel guilty about the mental state you're having. They are completely normal. Many people enjoy felt the way you're feeling. It may not surface like it now, but when you see that little boy's face, you are going to wonder how you ever thought you looked-for anything else.
3. My aunt and uncle had a similar situation: two difficult pregnancies, two sons, and they really wanted a daughter. They ended up adopt a little girl from China and she is AMAZING. She's nine now and she brings so much joy to our house. It wasn't the family they'd planned on, but it's just right.
I know how you feel. My story is lately the other way around. I have a daughter and when i got pregnant the second time we be hoping for a boy. At first we couldn't see what the sex of the baby was the one week they told us it's a girl and the next a boy. we finished having a baby girl, although we were dissapointed at first, we excepted it, as long as she be healthy and strong, had 10 fingers, 10 toes and all the rest we be happy. Me and my husband decided that we would really like to enjoy a son, but later on, we said that we'll try again in 5 years to have rather boy. My daughter is now almost 3 months old and we couldn't be happier that she is here.
