If you're over protective calling the cops or, kicking him out of your house *if he does live there*.. isnt an option.
If not, take those actions.
If he's not stubborn. Try a substance harm counselor.
Answers: This is going to sound mean, but he's obviously a grown man and if it's a serious problem that is to say hampering him from leading a productive life I'd report him to the police for possession (if he keep any weed with him.) I would honestly do this for a child of mine because if they won't listen to their own mother they are going to have a hard time listen to anyone, but you sort of have to listen to the law. Maybe some jail time to sober up would do him suitable.
Obviously this is some pretty extreme advice, but a family member of mine did equal when their adult child would not stop abusing alcohol/ drinking and driving.
Sometimes tough love is the best love.
