My wife wishes and abortion. I want the child. What can I do? PLZ HELP?
First off, I'm Army. me and my wife of (sadly) 3 months have it it rough. She's made things too difficult. but that is besides the point.
My wife is possibly threatening abortion. Assuming she is gonna run through with it, I want to know what I can do to stop it. I know the states favor heavily with women in abortion matter. Which, I think is wrong, and there is nothing you can speak that will change that opinion. As the father (and still married) I should have lately as much say in this decison. Its not even like we met and she get knocked up. Don't feed me this "its her body", or "she's the one that's got to take it". That's the dumbest excuse. I will go bankrupt fighting this, but i would similar to to know some avenues of apporach to fight this, and possibly the best research material so i can study up on what I should and should not do.
also, if you have any recommendation on how to fight for primary custody as a father, that would be nice too, but the above is my main concern. I won't even go after her for child support. All she requests to do is give the baby up to me. That's all i want.
PLZ HELP.
Have you tried you and your wife both sitting down together discussion to someone professional like a councilor to make the the right decision for you, your wife and the innocent tot?
It sounds like your conjugal is over? Or nearly over?
If not listen too her fears and concerns and address these, you haven't got that much time you have to move fast and cooperate next to your wife. If she doesn't feels secure in the relationship she won't want to own the child. Otherwise I can't imagine what reason she would have to verbs the child of the man she loves.
Good luck
Firstly, by reading your plea for help here, It appears to me that you are still married, but are not together?
If that is the case, next I feel you are looking at this from only your own perspective with NO consideration to your wife and how she feel.
This is something you should be talking about with her surrounded by a mature and rational manner. Instead of = "this is what I want"
Is nearby any posibility this child may not be yours also and thats why she wants an abortion? Just another thing to consider here.
idk what to say to this but i think considering the fact yall are still married u own more of a say..more than if yal werent.but maybe you can talk to ur sgt and ask him if he know anythin or to sustain you get a lawyer.. hope everythin work out and thanks for ur service..ima army wife so yea
You cant do anything legally its in her so its hers. You can't get a court ordered non abortion. You officially can't my moms a lawyer and she says that the man can't do anything. I thought you should be thanking she is smart and getting one. Legally you cant cant cant force someone to do something except community service and young offenders` institution.
i know you don't wanna hear this, but it is HER choice. you have no say basically. a advocate won't do anything. she could just run and go do it and then in attendance would be no way for you to stop her.
Answers: Do some research on custody battle for unborn children tonight, and call a lawyer first thing tomorrow morning. You may hold no choice.
The lawyer might be able to get a court injunction forbidding the abortion, which she may humiliate, but I kind of doubt it, since, according to the law, she does not need your sanction to get an abortion. Sadly, your negative opinion just about "it's her body" has no bearing on anything according to the Supreme Court.
you need to see a legal representative, and soon...also talk to the police they may be able to give you some lawful advise...you will need to act in a flash...this is your child and you have rights...i wish you luck...
unfortunately, within isn't much to be done, if she wants one, she can get one, regardless, and as much as you don't wanna hear it, it is her body so she has every right to do near it what she wants, right or wrong ((imo i find it wrong unless she has certain robustness issues where it'd be best for her to have it done...)) so if she wants an abortion she can budge and get it done behind your back, recline, and say it was a miscarriage, it's happened masses times, your best bet right now is to sit down, and talk with her, ask WHY she feel the need to get an abortion, and CALMLY, do NOT yell, do NOT cuss, do NOT confound her, just be NEUTRAL, tell her your side and your reasoning as to why you would prefer her to not get an abortion
Wow. I would start by hiring a lawyer.
Good luck!
it is her body and her call whether you like it or not. sorry but to be exact the solid truth. what you can do however is ask her why she doesn't want to keep the baby
Unfortunately, it IS her choice and nearby is nothing you can do legally to change that.If she desires an abortion, she can have one without your consent. You cannot force her to carry the child.Dads pretty much grasp the sh it end of the deal when it comes to pregnancy since fathers enjoy no rights during pregnancy.
Also, how do you know if the child is yours? if she is a difficult women, perhaps she has cheated.
I think the merely thing that will save the baby is if she wait too long to have an abortion and they will not be able to perform one.If explicitly the case, when the child is born, go to court ASAP for a paternity test and report for joint custody. If she keeps the baby and is a fit parent, they will not distribute you full custody.
Also, being in the Army is also a issue here.Have you been deployed at adjectives? Will you be deployed?
The best advice I can give is to kiss her *** no matter how bit chy she is and try to label that "picture perfect family" reality so she won't go through next to the abortion.
Oh, another thing, don't be stupid and go bankrupt for this.Kids cost abundantly of money!
Good luck and hope things work out in your favor.I bet a lot of women wish you be their baby daddy (as opposed to the deadbeats)
I would contact a lawyer and leave her.
Sorry, but it's not a "dumb excuse" to read out it is HER body and she has every right to do with it as she pleases. I am all for women's rights and don't believe a man have any say on the topic of abortion. You shouldn't force her to keep it. What if she starves herself, drinks, does drugs just to spite you for trying to engineer her keep it? It's wrong in all ways to try to force a woman to maintain a child she may not want.
