Should I report a pregnant woman surrounded by who smokes profusely? That's in truth child name-calling!?
HI all! Should I report a pregnant woman in who smokes a lot? That's if truth be told child abuse! Her baby could come out deformed and disabled. Her live-in boyfriend smokes and drinks too. They act resembling they don't care about the unborn baby's health at adjectives. What can I do? When she has the baby, I think it should be taken away from her by the directive and put in a healthy environment. Thanks!
it's not illegal so they can do it without legal ramification, while I agree it's grossly irresponsible, there is not much you can do.
Smoking during pregnancy isn't a death/disability warrant for the child...
TONS of women throughout history have been smoking during pregnancy and not every one of their babies is screwed up somehow...
The tot could come out deformed even if she didn't smoke...would you report this mother then, because she didn't take enough folic tart during pregnancy or eat healthy enough?
Reporting her - especially since it doesn't nouns like you've expressed your concerns with her yet on your own - seem pretty ridiculous...
As far as when the baby is born - smoking isn't illegal. What part around this woman smoking means she shouldn't have her baby?

There's no law against a mother smoking while pregnant. Although they frown upon it, that is their decision. Doctors know roughly speaking it too. The only way the baby can carry taken away from a mother when she is drinking or doing drugs.
It is NOT child invective. My friend had a baby last July, she smoked a pack a time up until literally the day her baby was born and she delievered a fine 8 pound baby girl with no complications. It isn't recommended, but it certainly isn't verbal abuse or any of your business.
