38 wks 3 days pregnant! In so much twinge PLease comfort what could this be?
ok well here i am still pregnant lol my hicks are more painful everyday as usuall but i have notice after i go pee literally still on the toilet i wipe and there is mucus every time i wipe! i know this is tmi but its kinda like snot yellowish and slimy. but also I am stuck on the toilet outlook like i have to poop and have fundamentally bad painful cramps and im stuck there til they stop b/c they don't shift away when i stand. last night i was up at 330 and didn't shift back to bed til 530 is this normal could something be wrong?
YOU are probably in labor. I had both my kids at 38.5 weeks. Go to the hospital NOW and return with checked. Bad painful cramps equals contractions. Feels like you have to crap? Definitely contractions.
Edit: DID YOU GO TO THE HOSPITAL YET? You hold me all worried now, and I don't even know you!
I would appointment your OB ASAP. The mucus could be your mucous plug - a collection of membranes in the opening of the cervix that helps prevent infection from entering the uterus - you can lose this weeks formerly or labor, or immediately before. Normal Braxton Hicks shouldn't be extremely painful, and the pressure as you describe it might be concerning. Call your doctor, and if they aren't in that or can't help you - go to labor and delivery, at lowest possible it might give you peace of mind.
Sounds like labor to me. No wonder it's painful!
My completely non-professional opinion is that those aren't BH contractions, they're unadulterated. You've been having contractions, thus causing your cervix to dilate, and that explains the mucous (your mucous plus). You're contained by labor. YAY! :)
Answers: I swear, with my daughter I go through that for two freaking weeks. The worst thing you can do is sit in one place and go through the aching. Seriously. Sitting won't progress anything, but the pain will wear you out. Move, walk, get a rocking bench, swing (just don't do a jumping dismount lol) and look into different position (like on hands and knees while arching your back) that can help things along.
If anything, it doesn't nouns like it will be very long now, so GOOD LUCK!
Go to the hospital. worst they can do is send you home
