Anybody agree next to me that the plan b advert is wrong?
i think fair enough if some1 get raped , but i think it is wrong how they say , 'the condom split one ' and ' the im not ready for that one' , contained by my oppinion i think it just make childish girls to grow up thinking its ok to have sex without protection because theres always 'plan b' 'morning after pill', and jus make the sti/std count higher .
Its just a large dose of birth control. It has no more effect on your fertility consequently taking Birth Control. A lot of people on the pill don't use condoms because they are on the pill. While I don't think it is ever a good opinion to use Plan B as your source of birth control, It really isn't that different than taking a normal birth control pill.. without a condom there is other a risk to STDs.
i think its wrong. for teens if you dont want a baby then dont hold sex and for married couples or older women be responsible and take birth control. if the egg has be fertilized then life is created and the person taking the pill is purely ending that life. plain and simple. i do agree with it for rape victims though, thats a totally different situation. i simply think for all of these women who so badly want to be pregnant and for a stupid girl to be in motion get her egg fertilized just to flush it down the toilet with the assistance of a pill is a shame.
I do worry about relatives using that form of birth control to often. It should be used as a very last resort when the other protection ruined, but that really doesn't happen that often if properly used.
what they dont know is the more times you use plan B the less effective it becomes!! and yes it sends out a fruitless message and raises STD's!
personally its not getting pregnant that worries me its the STD's that go around you can NEVER bring rid of herpes how are you going to explaint hat to your husband when your 25?
WHy is it wrong if the condom broke? It' only a large dose of birth control pills and if you already got pregnant you stay that way. The abortion pill is RU 486 not "plan B" and condoms are protection and they DO break
So no I don't regard as it's wrong the advert I mean
Edit sweetie plan B works EXACTLY like a strong birth control pill. It is nothing more than a super strong BCP ponder of taking like three or four pills of regular BCP. It is also not supposed to be taken often because since it is so strong the side effects are really bad and every character I know who ever took it felt like HELL because it was so strong it made them sick. I don't see why someone would prefer that to a condom or typical birth control
No I do not agree with that. I infer plan B is a great invention and I wish that more people knew how natural it was to get hold of. It is FAR better than girls going out and getting abortions because they end up pregnant. If you are against plan B next you are also against birth control. What would you have people do who are not ready for a kid? The RESPONSIBLE thing to do is to use birth control!
Plan B is NOT an abortion pill- it has no effect on an existing pregnancy, so don't confuse the two.
Answers: I definitely agree that Plan B, unfortunately, give irresponsible people something to fall back on and may increase the number of teens have sex. However, the sex rate would increase of its own accord and there would be many more children born out of marriage, left for foster care/orphanages or abandoned without the pills. As for the pill itself, tons people don't have a clear understanding as to what it is. They don't realize that it's simply a concentrated, higher-dose birth control pill.
Edit: You do enjoy a very valid point. I mean, that is a unqualified problem with making birth control so accessible. However, it was made accessible BECAUSE sexually active kids are starting younger and younger. You really hold to deliberate on whether or not compromise is worth it. Personally, I think so. I'd rather see younger kids have sex with preparation than loads of older kids giving birth to babies they ultimately abuse and/or sign out behind.
Edit again: Plan B doesn't affect fertility, actually. The only long-term effect of taking the pill regularly is that the worth decreases.
@Karla: When a person takes the Plan B pill, they aren't flushing anything 'down the toilet.' Plan B is ONLY a birth control pill. It works BEFORE the egg get fertilized.
