Pixifoto studio photos?
Has anyone taken their baby to the pixifoto studio? they usually have them in boots or mothercare. i enjoy a big set of vouchers i got in my bounty pack at the hospital where i can seize a free photo taken there for different stages of my daughters life. i havent used the 0-6 months voucher yet i havent get round to it and my daughter is 6 months on wednesday so my last chance to use it is tomorrow as im moving house on monday so ill be really busy. i be just wondering if anyone had a photo taken there and be they ok? did anyone else also use a voucher? what is the process when you get there? do you have to sign up near your details while there and then they take the photos or is it a queue where on earth they just take the photo and you pay/give voucher at the end? also do the irrevocable studios some of the stores have, open on a weekend or only weekday?
i use pixifoto regularly - its lovely to own those memories, and see your child changing in every photo.ive always have good experiences with them.ive always queue up and waited, and when they take your details they ask if youre paying or using a voucher - in boots you achieve points on these, and check the machine for total spend, because if you buy a package you get the points on your card.they nick your details, take the photos, then invite you back after an hour to estimation, and then you pick the ones you want, if youre buying anything other than just taking your free portrait (youre below no obligation to buy!), then you pay.the binding studios are open on a saturday at least, but most of thoise are by appointment only, so you can receive one to fit in with your life.
I have 2 children and have used Pixi for both my children, they are great! Best to book an appt. When you arrive they tell you that the 1st photo they appropriate is your free one, they show it to you on the screen and if you dont like it they take another. Then they freshly snap away for your allocated time. At the end you have the chance of purchasing some of the others they own taken, but beware, they are very expensive, and hard to say no to as they are so cute!
Sometimes I never took my purse near me just so I couldnt buy any and just have my free one!
Hi, I got them done in Boots when my son be a year old, we waited in a queue after the girl took our details and said she was going to do 8 poses so I said ok, and paid lb5 for my first photo (which was a great big one) she took 8 photos, surrounded by lots of different poses and with props, was really good and he smiled surrounded by them all, then she asks you what pose you want for your fiver, it is difficult to decide minus seeing them and hard to remember which one is what, so you tell her then she give you an appointment date for a fortnight later to pick up your lb5 pic and look at the rest, she also will work out a deal that they are prepared to give you if you buy so oodles on that day. I went back get my lb5 pic and all the rest were laid out for me, I picked 3 poses for lb50, in the pack you get 1 big one, 1 medium sized one and 4 small ones of each of the 3 poses - they were really capably done very professional and well worth the money!

we made an appointment so we had an hour to bring some good shots. We went on a tue afternoon so it wasnt so busy. they took lots of my baby girl surrounded by a ladybug outfit and laying in a pea pod :) sooo cute.
they also took some family pics beside my husband and i in various poses.a week later we view the pics to choose which we liked best. we got one free but purchased lots in mixed sizes...only complaint is the price!! 350 euro for 12 photos in different sizes. pretty expensive.
but when you see your baby looking cute you only want to have them!
go along and have pics taken. its fun and rushed and they make great portraits for your home :)
Answers: I have some done at Mothercare and they were brilliant. You take the voucher but be warned you will cessation up buying more pictures and they end up costing a fortune. So worth it though. The lowest price package was around #120. You a short time ago walk in and sign up with your address etc. Yes the irredeemable ones are usually open everyday and it takes around a week for the pictures to come back. The picture what is free by the path is one of the 'test shots' what they take at the beginning to go and get your child used to look at the camera.
