12 year out-of-date babysitter?
would you hire a 12 year old babysitter? Also is it good or bad item to print off flyers ( because of strangers) how much should i charge i was thinking offers! babysitting flyer concept! please help
i will acepted any answer i will pick best answer today tho!!
I babysat when I was 12 (course that be 16 years ago) and personally I get scared thinking going on for how irresponsible I was sometimes. You think you are ready but kids are a handful. I have a 2 year old sneak out the back door and luckily the neighbors found him. Things can happen so in haste.
Personally as a parent I won't hire someone to watch my kids under the age of 15 Source(s): by the way 5-7 dollars is WAY too giant. I pay less than that for daycare. I will however pay a minimun of $15 if it is lately for a couple hours.
No your too young to be a babysitter, im afraid (well i thin you are) because my sister is 12 and she is not allows to look afer my brother who is three.
I think it is plentifully of responsibility for you because they are a handful. you have to watch them constantly espec when they are 5 or or 6, beacusse they will put thigs in their mouths they will be running out doors climbing running around. They may hurt theselves, eventhough ypou enjoy taken a first aid course, it is still hard to look after them.
im 17 and my lil bro is 3,, i find it hard looking after him alone somethimes beacuse he always requirements my attention, i have to make sure he doesnt eat anything he is allergic to or what would spoil him.
i have to make sure he isnt running up and down the stairs or doing anything silly like that. Its even harder when your looking after more than one child!!
I sinewy you should wait a bit in my opinion because you do stipulation experance of looking after children.
When my bro was born i was 13 i wouldnt have be able to look after him on my own.
Also im not sure about flyers,,, as long as your mother can inverstiage the people who want you to look after their children and brand sure it is in a safe environment.:)
I hope this helps :)
newly make sure your safe and that you can cope with the childern and your parents know everything :D
hold fun if you doooo,,,,x
Answers: 12 is a great age to start. The law allows at age 12 for babysitting to start.
1. Flyers are great advertisement and will take more willed people to call you.
2. Make sure the 12 year older has had babysitting experience. Babysitting classes are great ! And they get those certificate. So ask them to show you if they have any.
3. Ask them to demonstrate CPR on a doll to see if they know.
4. Write them a scheduale and see if they have what it takes. bring them over and sit on the couch pretending to be reading and see if they can buy and sell with the children and their duties around the house.
5. a babysitter is known to be watching all children at alike time and to clean up after the children.
6. demonstrate how to use the washing machine is defence of pooped clothes.
7. ask them if they can change a diaper and feed the baby. (Demonstration needed.)
8. If any pets at home, are they immobilize with that person around?
9. A babysitter follows all YOUR rules and may not bring any boyfriends or girlfriends to your home along next to friends.
10. House must be clean when done.
11. children should also be put to sleep at the time you wish for them to have bedtime.
12. When discipling the children, the babysitter must know ways to be nice and sorta strict. that might include no TV just straight to bed or in the corner standing for how many minutes ( the childs age utter 5) then 5 minutes in the corner. :)
also with price, my mom pays me 10 dollars for everytime i bbysit.
any more thing: make sure the babysitter knows what the child can and cannot guzzle according to allergies.
I am going to be completely honest and you can do next to my reasoning as you will. I am 14, I think that you being only 12 years of age, and trying to be a baby-sitter, is rather bit dangerous. Your only 12, and you will be going into unknown grounds into someones house, not even knowing the person. Only because, they're profoundly of dangerous predators out here that use methods like this to get someone into their house. I be determined it's your choice but I've seen news about this. Also you are entirely responsible for anything that happen to their child, and I wouldn't like to put in that position. I mean babe sitting your little brother, sister, nephew, etc, that's understandable. That's my view on this. Source(s): The Brain.
I babysat as early as 12 years antiquated but I was mature enough for it. You could try a trial and error and enjoy your prospective babysitter watch your children a few times while you are home so you can observe their "job". Source(s): 24 year old Mother to Triplets, Former Nanny for 2 sets of twins, and hold babysat since I was 11 years old to MANY regular families adjectives of which I have good references!
I'm 13 and I babysit. What I suggest is, yea, people would hire 12- year old babysitters..If they knew them in good health. (But, duh you'd have to take a babysitting class first! ;) )
I suggest that you first babysit for people you know. For example, your mom's friends kids. After you gain comfortable with babysitting, put up flyer's. But..make sure you talk to the inhabitants who your gonna babysit first and all that. The price I would go for is around $5-7 a hour, for now anyway. You'll do fine! Idk why ethnic group are saying 12- year old's are immature. I'm sure you responsible enough.
Good luck! :)
P.S ya, 4 and up is a devout age, but I would say a range of 3-7
years old, you wouldn't wanna be babysitting a 11 year ancient. That would just be weird! :)
Sorry, but I dont think anyone will hire you until your at most minuscule fourteen.
yes! my sis is a babysitter she is 11 tho. she charges $5 an hour and tape flyers by stop signs and in parking lots. SHe is very sucsseful she also got the institution directory and sent and email to all the people in pre arts school tell on the email about the courses you have taken and passed! also you may want to sort the flyer big and bright and full of many colors
hope i helped :)
well first off, you cant pick and choose who you babysit and who you dont. if you are offered a job, and at hand is a child under for and you decline, you start to lose money. also, leave it up to the employer to make the decree on how much you are paid. Age should not matter as long as you show them you are responsible and make sure you show them your babysitting license and first aid. =] Source(s): i used to babysit
12 years frail in my opinion is way to childlike. Your still learning.
Maybe you should babysit a family member younger than you,
purely to get some practice. That way you can say on your fylers that you babysitted your own kith and kin and know how to handle things. Your flyers should only be posted around your neighborhood.,
good luck.
i wouldnt hire a 12 year old to babysit, either like 14 and up. you shouldnt print of flyers and swing them in public places because of strangers getting your personal info. Since your 12, you shouldn't babysit babies.
12 year old baby sitter isn't fully matured you so they may not know what to do when there is a emergency. Ages 4 and under kids? I would think those are pretty well-mannered age but you have to keep eyes on them so they do not do anything dangerous. Older kids would do like mad more then a -4 aged but both would need almost the same amount of trouble and supervision.
ahaha yah babysitting is fuun!
um kay it all depends how long ur babysitting, so u cant charge to much for 1 hour possibly like 5-7$ a hour
um flyers... give them to friends of friends or family friends
dont run posting it around unknown places, because again strangers, you dont want prank calls constently or going to a strangers house!
get your mom or dad to ask there friends if they would want a babysitter
Good luck!! :),
Nd rember! HAVE FUN!,

I have used a 12 old sitter. She be very good and quite responsible. She too have taken first aid and a babysitter course.
No, I really wouldn't trust a 12 year frail to babysit my child.. That's way too young. I mean, they're not even a pubescent yet. I wouldn't even let a 15 year old babysit my toddler whilst I went out somewhere.
Also, I wouldn't do flyers, I'd rather find someone I could trust and that I've known for a while.
- these are merely my own opinions though.
No. I might let you help me near a small child but I would not leave you in charge.
i'm not sure if I would hire a 12 year old-fashioned to watch my kid unless I knew her really well first. Good luck tho
no theyre to immature and wouldnt know what to do in a bad situation
no i wouldnt. but if your twelve you better charge alot of cash to be 12 and babysit.
