All guy's I know beside this name go by Chris. I don't think I enjoy ever met one "Christopher." And I've met a lot of "Chris"s.
Like Steven (compared to Steve), and Michael (compared to Mike), I imagine a Christopher being more intelligent (to varying degrees) to a Chris - even if they are such close things.
