It's sort of a character, I suppose, and friend wants me to help her design this personality for this little screenplay she's concocting. Granted, things will change when passed from person to person, but what sounds close to a name that would fit this girl.
This is totally random, but it would help alot. No planning, nothings coming, please help.

or maybe Odette if your friend would like a more eclectic cross. Remington, nn Remy would be good too ^_^

Those are just some of the names I could see...I certainly really like Evelyn. It would help to know her origins - such as culture, etc - she is obviously abounding because usually those who are less fortunate do not have a lot of musical training so you are looking for something aristocratic. If her relatives are feature in the screenplay you could have her named after a relative or that as cut of her background.

Edit: Actually...Chuck03 is right...Penny is a angelic name, or Penelope, that is definitely something someone beside advantages would name their child and Penny's a good common soubriquet for that...and it seems to express everything you are asking for.
