Any Chinese race here? Can you facilitate me beside name for a story.?
I have 2 Chinese sisters in my story. I didn't name them next to English names because if you just use the first name most of the story, they don't stand out from others so I give them Chinese. Li Xiying and Li Shuming.
I have a friend who's half Chinese but even though she doesn't know any Chinese she says that if a Chinese being reads the story they'll wonder what it means as the Chinese use meaningful name and it's not like in English no one really asks what a pet name means.
I heard of the surname Li before and it way plum, the first name I just made up from whatever pinyin sounded nice to me. Does anyone know what words are suitable for a first identify with the pinyin I have chosen? Or should I change their name entirely?
