Just considered necessary to share some bliss roughly speaking reunion! And ask a cross-question?
My biological sister got in touch with me via myspace! i'm so joyful to hear from her. And she called me sis! Even though we werent raised together, it made me happy to focus i'm someone's big sister. I wrote her a long time ago through myspace, and finally heard back today! My bio parents are having some troubles and i give them my house and cell number so they could call if they could.
Anyone else ever felt this way?
So happy for you!! I'm the middle sister, and hope that one day I'm competent to hear sis from my little sister too.
CONGRATS!
Yep, I felt this way om Dec 29, 2008 when I found my brother on myspace...waiting for him to write back seem to take years (it was 2 days cuz he was out of town). When he call it was amazing. I have wondered about him and looked for him since I be 14 (i'm 36 now).
This year on his birthday, I finally got to tell him Happy Birthday...every other year I would remember him and be a bit sad because I didn't know him...
In 12 days I will finally achieve to meet him face to face!! I am so excited I can't stand it. Saturday is my B year and when hubby asked what I wanted I told him my gift will be arriving 6 days late.I want zilch more than to finally give my little brother a big hug! And he comes along with a sis in canon and a neice who is the same age as my older two kids.
Congrats again.any idea if/when you will seize to meet face to face? Source(s): developed adoptee/adoptive mom

I found my son through Genes Reunited even though I wasn't actively searching back in Aug 2004. Several reason why such as I didn't think I had the right to search, start and I didn't know where to start.
My son started searching in 1999 when he turned 18 but kept missing me as I moved a few times. My inherited also hindered our reunion as he found them quite quickly by telling him they didn't know where on earth I was so our reunion was delayed almost 5 years. Within weeks of being reunited her started calling me mum which amazed me as we have never discussed what he should call me.
At first it was a long distance relationship as we lived 260 miles apart but we did get to get together 3 times before he went to Canada. Son moved in next to us on 21 Dec 2006 and stayed until recently when he moved in with his girlfriend.
Yay! Congratulations! I'm so happy for you. :)
Well, right now I am exceptionally excited/nervous. I fly to maryland on friday to meet my birthmom and 2 half sisters- one whom my parents almost adopted. I dont know how it will turn, but am excited. My birthmom also found me via myspace-what a coincidence
congratulations! I am so happy for you. :0)
That's awesome Rowan! I'm so relieved for you!!
It's virtuous to hear a positive story. Though I hope all is well with your bio parents.
I met my sisters in the region of 15 years ago and still stay in touch. They live interstate a good 1800kms away, so I dont get too see them that normally. But that one week I do its also a good time. We do talk on the phone often so that make up for the time we dont see each others.
Both are a few years older and have different personality. We all have different opinions going on for almost everything; but they are just like everyone else in my existence. Yet, that what makes them both great people.
I came from one the oldest and maturest in my adopted family to anyone the youngest and childish one. :o)
I've always could them sisters - Big Sis and Lil Sis. I dont know what else to call them. They are more than friends, but not quite line. We may not have grow up together but still at sametime we are family. Plus, its alot easier when introducing them to others just as my Sister <name>.
Thanks for reminder, my Lil Sis's bday is also within July. The year has gone soo fast that my mind is still stuck in mid-April.
I too hold 3 nepthews and niece. All wonderful kids. They dont call me Uncle but that is fine. Uncle was my appellation throughout primary school and high-school so there is no loss there. I'm basically Jayzeeeeeeeeeeee to them. My lil niece (well not so lil niece - 19 yrs old) is about to bring her own bunle of joy into the world. So I'm going to be a Great Uncle soon.
My Big Sis is about to re-marry and I've be asked to walk her down the aisle. I said screamed "YES" down the phone and almost deafened her with the response. So I'm pretty overwelmed beside joy at them moment.
I hope all goes very well with the re-union and everything is still strong in 15 years time like next to mine.
