Did your parents (adoptive) remind you too much of man adopt?
All my life (after I was adopted at a deeply young age) my adoptive family kept reminding me that I was adopt. We included the names of my birth family on family trees, shoot, even have photos of my supposed birth mother in the dining room so I had to see it all the time. Well, when I be younger it was that... now it's more of a thing that they are truism I could try to find them "if I wanted" but if I wanted I would have said something. My family is my clan. Why must my parents think of my birth family as family when we don't know them? I'm a moment ago getting sick of the pressure.
Be glad you know who your parents are. Also, talk to your parents very soon.
Sorry sweety they newly want you to be happy. AP's are always hearing how adoptees want to reunite. They probably cogitate that deep down you want to and you might be trying to spare their feelings. They don't want you to hurt trying to protect them believe me what they are doing is out of love.
If you truely don't want to reunite and you don't want to see pictures or talk just about them you should tell your parents that. It sounds like your parents just want you to be healthy and if you tell them how you feel they will listen.

Answers: Wow! That is awesome. How wonderful that your ap's acknowledged that you have 2 sets of parents! So many ap's do not speak openly roughly their child's natural family, and make the child have a feeling guilty when they bring it up.
If you do not wish to know and love your first family, that is ok, but consider yourself "lucky" that your ap's acknowledged your truth and are ok near the fact that adoptees have the capability of loving more than one set of parents, in recent times as their parents love more than one child. Whether you like it or not you have two family and they are acutally being very thoughtful of this fact. How you settlement with it is your choice though.
I have relatives that I have never met but it doesn't stop them from anyone family.
maybe your biological mom wishes you to find her so you can ask questions...I gave daughter up for adoption when she was born I her to find me when she get older I want to see her and see if looks more like me or her dad.I LOVE MY DAUGHTER I want whats best for her..if you need to vent more you can email me gordy@clear.web and we can chat more if you'd like..best wishes

Not being adopted or ever adopting a child, I don't follow why they would want to do this.
I feel like adoption is when you have a choice of the child or children you bring in, to love unconditionally like you would your own, or at least we hope.
Have you tried conversation to them about this? And why it's important 'to them' to keep discussion that way?
Do wish you the best! If you think you stipulation to talk with someone, counseling is a good point, could help you understand, maybe they are the ones not immobilize. Sounds as though you are with them.
