What is a Specialist at DSS?
I called the child abuse hot line because I can't find any other number to report a social worker, they give me a number for a Foster Care Specialist - what is that?
Is a specialist above the Supervisor?
If not does anyone know of who I should contact?
This is for a serious matter.
I don't know what the best place to post this is other then adoption because it's close to foster care.
the social worker has a supervisor that is who you should contact (at the same office) if that human being doesnt help go to their supervisor and up. Be careful though especially if you are a foster parent surrounded by washington state.
I cant write anymore on here but if you want you can email me and explain whats going on. Source(s): foster parent
If you think the child is in danger right very soon, you should call the police.by the time DSS gets to it the kid could be dead...of instinctive causes at the age of 86,
A foster care specialist in my state is assigned to provide services to the familial after the children have been removed and monitor the case.
Supervisors are usually above them.
You don't inevitability a foster care specialist (unless the people you are reporting already have and moving case? then it would make some sense)
In my experience, you enjoy foster care specialist that care, but are too busy with oodles cases to do any real good with one.
Don't watchfulness and collect a paycheck (I have a lot of those)
Care but have NO clue what they are doing (have lots of those too)
If this is serious, please bid the police.
Answers: I'm a Foster Parent Support Specialist and I am NOT above a supervisor. There are several specialist's contained by the local office and the supervisor would be above all of them. All workers have a supervisor to report to.
Call your local bureau and request to speak to that workers supervisor.
Feel free to e-mail me.
