Can you adopt a child if your not cohabiting beside an ex partner?

Look at becoming the childrens legal guardian. This has to be done through the courts, so you and your ex obligation to seek proper legal advice.
cant you only move in together until the adoption is complete??
the bio man needs to sign his rights away, then you can apply for an adoption lay down.
I'm sorry you have ME, its horrible.
Maybe

See a lawyer
The father needs to sign his writes over and let you adopt him
If i.e. not a problem, you should be able to do so
I would check with a lawyer to see what and how it requests to be done

If it is the wishes for you to be their legal guardian, she could put it in the will. The your ex family or the father could ask for them
If you're within teh UK then I'm sorry but some of the answers are incorrect - I know that you can still adopt, even if the natural Father is opposed to it. A contestant of my family has recently be through tis process. The courts may contact him to ask his opinion but at the end of the day Social Services would opt what was in the best interest of the children involved. Whether you would be allowed to adopt these particular children is another business, as you are not living with their Mother.
