Can/Do African American or Latino parents adopt caucasian babies?
I have seen the reverse and have a few Caucasian friends who enjoy adopted Latino babies and they actually took Spanish spoken language courses which really impressed me. However I not see it the other way round. I am wondering how common is that?
There are not enough qualified African American or Latino parents to adopt the babies already available contained by their respective heritages. Why would they adopt a Caucasian baby unless the baby is a relative?
It is not adjectives, but definitely possible. With domestic adoption, the first mother generally chooses the family for her child. The potential adoptive parents can specify what type of children they are interested to (race, special needs etc). A white first mom may decide to choose a black family etc. To be honest in that are more white parents trying to adopt, than there are white babies, this is one reason you tend to see more white couples with non-white babies.
i've never heard of black people or hispanic people adopt white kids, but it could be because right now there aren't that many white kids within up for adoption, there are more black kids and kids of other races in the system right immediately. i think its because white people are recessive.
adopt and foster care are different.im in foster care in a minute i have been since i was 13 and im 18 immediately.im white..yes and ive been in 10 different foster homes and all of them be black familys except for my first foster home they were white, and the second foster home i was in they be philippians!!
yes but rare.
Yes. There is a tremendous number of children in the foster strictness system that want to be adopted and if neither the prospective second parents or the children mind, it is not a problem.
I am Latina and adopted a caucasian boy., not completely unheard of.
It can happen, but there is a much complex demand for caucasian babies then Latino or African American ones so it isn't common for a Latino or African American family unit to adopt a white child.
I don't mind adopt outside of my race when the time comes but right now I'm too young. Also perchance the reason why some African Americans don't adopt outside of the race is because family reason. I'm already receiving crap from my family for finding Asian men attractive so you can imagine how it will be when I bring a toddler outside of the race home.
The area where I live like mad of black people put themselves inside of a box and have an invisible handbook for whats appropriate and whats not. For example a black individual who befriends/date people outside the race, listens to other music besides rap/r&b/hip-hop, and dresses differently than the others (all me) is NOT legitimate. Adopting outside of the race maybe another unspoken taboo. Source(s): Living life as an Individual Black Woman and loving it!
I have only see a few African American women with white babies and only in New York City. I give attention to it is very uncommon.
Answers: Can it happen? Yes. African American or Latino parents can adopt white children. Does it come to pass very often? No.
Unfortunately, at this time the majority of people adopt children through any route (newborn, foster care, & international) are caucasian. At the same time, the majority of children available for adoption (especially through foster care) are of minority groups. So it stands to reason that inter-racial family formed by adoption are generally made up of white parents and African-American, Latino, or in the case of IA Asian children.
THEY SHOULDN'T africans and latinos own very, very low iq's in comparison to whites and while this contained by and of itself may not pose a problem the resulting neglect, low income living conditions, HIV/AIDS exposure will. hope that helps!

I'm sure they do in this day and age. I know when lace foster children that race can not be an issue because of discrimination but I also know some families that will not adopt biracial children for several reasons.
