Destiny44 is right. You will necessitate to contact a social worker to do a homestudy and go from there.
The Gov't of Ontario site is: http://www.children.gov.on.ca/htdocs/Eng…
Canadaadopts.com is also a good insinuation for listings of social workers and agencies in all provinces.
Good luck.
A relative adoption is not unlike a regular adoption.
You will be required to process the usual adoption papers. All of the documents that you will require should be contained by accordance with the law. These papers will ensure the legality of the process and the appropriateness of the adoption method.

You will need an attorney.
She hands you the tot, you take it home, you mother it. Then call social services and tell them you want to adopt it.
I be privately adopted by my first mothers colleague, a boy in my class at school be adopted by his uncle and aunty.
Answers: I believe that's called "kinship care".
My suggestion is to wait and see...She might change her mind and is entitled to do so.
If not, you can take guardianship of the child via kinship concern, and go through the homestudy process, just as you would if you were adopt any other child. You are still required to prove, with the homestudy, references, background checks and interviews that you are a suitable meeting.
I'm in Alberta, so I can't help too much, but I think surrounded by Ontario, you would need to contact CAS in order to find out your subsequent steps.
But, I would recommend giving the expectant mother the chance to change her mind. You can foster the child for a bit, if she wishes, via kinship to give her the accidental to either change her mind, or at least be within more of a position, after some time has passed, to make that decision.
