How could adoption be made unofficial?
What steps could we take to force legislators to criminalise adoption, and have powers to prosecute those who try to adopt?
And what restitution do you think olden and present adopters should make to real parents and the children they bought?
i dont think it should be made illegal - there are thousands and thousands of children out at hand in childrens homes with no parents, no love, no support - i think they deserve a coincidence at having a loving family
there are also millions of couples out within who cant have children - so perfect way to rectify this would be to adopt children!
why shouldnt adopt children have a chance at happiness?
Realistically adoption could not be made illegal, this is about as nonsensical as question come. So what would happen to all of the children in state charge that have parents who are unable to parent or were taken out of slighting situations?
It sounds like you have a lot of issues beside adoption, a wiser use of your time would be talking to a therapist. Source(s): Adoptee who adopted
I've seen a lot of people chitchat about the UK and Australia's adoption systems. I don't know a lot about them, but they nouns really good. I too don't like to see people profiting so much from the adoption industry.
Regardless though, I still devise you are crazy!
I don't really understand what you are asking.
Adoption is a way for children to have a relations upbringing when they are unable to stay with their birth parents. What do you suggest, that they just stay contained by children's homes for the rest of their lives??
And the couples who give these children loving homes - should they have to remain childless when there are children need homes all over the world?
Illegal adoptions and people trafficking - that's another story and here are already laws against such acts.
dont be silly mate
I do not feel that this question is crazy or a surplus of time. Babies are being bought and sold, especially to the wealthy in the United States. Madonna showed the true side of that just now. What about a guardianship? My birth certificate states that I was a "live birth" to my amother. Why is my inventive document on this Earth falsified? I spent 30 years in role to be someone I am not. I know that adoption, especially the lies, and "putting a square peg in a round hole", so to speak, was not in shape for me. Openness, honesty, original heritage, TRUTH. How is this crazy? Source(s): I am not grateful and will not take on the role of "black sheep" because my views are different.
Answers: I vote for following the Australian model. There is very little adoption within Australia now, and almost no infant adoption. One of the things that is the best about the Australian model is that at hand was an investigation into past adoption practices. Australia and the UK opened the history for ALL parties involved in the adoption, not just the adoptees. The innate parents were included, as is only just and right. There be a Parliamentary Inquiry in Aus and adoption there was shown for what it be, a criminal act against women, in large fragment.
In the US, I am afraid, it is big business, and there is little or no incentive to put the reins on a business which is growing and showing a profit. If the people who are most affected by it complain, adjectives you have to do is call them bitter, divide them (as in the argument to open the records for ONLY adoptees and AP's) and then dismiss them. If they originate to make a little headway, create a diversion and they will squabble amongst themselves until there is no fracas left in them.
Mothers of SMAAC and other groups are working toward gaining appreciation for the crimes that were committed against women during the EMS/BSE, but it is difficult to get people to listen. There be some interest when the Fessler book came out, but again we are largely ignored as a bunch of angry old women who can't achieve over our losses. Why should we not be angry? Would it not be insane to not be angry at the illegal things that were done to us, including the taking of our most precious right...the right to parent our own children?
The enemy is well-funded, well-trained and is conflict for its existence in the US. The government makes huge amounts of money available to them to research their side and suppress anything that doesn't show adoption contained by the very highest light. According to the things that they come up next to, every single child in the US would be better served by going to another set of parents besides the ones that Nature gave them. It is insanity, and I am afraid that I will be dead in the past the dust settles on all of this and reason prevails.
The bottom line is heritage and ethnic group matter.
WTF?
Why would you want to take away the option of adopting a child from ancestors who are not able to conceive?
Children who are born to people who can't take precision of them for various reasons need a loving home and adjectives life necessities that they may not be able to get from the birth parents.
My twin and i be adopted and i am 100% thankful for that. Without my APs i wouldn't have the vivacity i have today. I would be in foster care, my twin and i could own been separated or any other crappy outcomes. Source(s): an adopted girl who thinks you hold issues.
This question is PREPOSTEROUS!
What a awful, dumb fool you are.
Let me see... where I live, we currently have roundabout 1.5 million homeless orphans. Most of their parents have died of AIDS or own dumped them somewhere, because they didn't want them or didn't know what to do with them.
So you want to tell me, just because in attendance are a few agencies in your country, who indeed make a lot of money near adoptions, one should make adoption illegal? Rather hang on to them on the streets or in homes without the fate to have a loving family? I'd suggest deal near those greedy adoption agencies in a different way, like someone else here have mentioned they've done in the U.K. and Australia.
You are just another narrow-minded American who can't look beyond the borders of his country.
Obviously you are adopt and obviously you are very angry. I just love it, when citizens like you try to impose their feelings on everyone else, a short time ago to make themselves feel better.
Again, what a sad, dumb fool you are.
By not allowing pre-birth matching and not have any money exchange hands for a child.
Adoption will never be illegal, nor should it be illegal. There will other be cases where a child cannot be raised by a member of their automatic family. When that happens, the adoption must be ethical and inexpensive.
"Restitution"?? I dont want 40 acres and a mule. I want my original birth authorization, troll. Source(s): reality
I believe adoption is a GREAT thing. People out there instantly becomes parents when others aren't primed to! If it was made illegal, then in attendance would be WAY MORE kids abused, or killed!! I think things are fine the way it is! I in recent times think that people should adopt within their own country first! But that's their edict on that one!
What then, is your proposed solution for children whose parents' rights have be terminated by the courts?
Are you one of Get Real's other personalities?
I think the question is how to make associates like you worry about your own lives. Its not risky for a reason. It never was and never will be. I'm so sick of hearing around anti abortion people. You have every right to not be a fan of it but that doesn't denote we all have to have alike views as you.
Perhaps by using the UK and Australia as examples and making private adoption for profit informal.
Money should never change hands in exchange for a human enthusiasm, whoever the money is paid to and whatever it's for 'fees' or under other guises. time.
Most civilized nations see the potential for corruption when adoption is a 'business' involving $$$ I guess free enterprise is everything in the US, including the trade of human flesh. shrugs. Source(s): Adoption should be finding homes for children in entail it has turned into finding babes for adults with philosophical pockets
I estimate this shows true ignorance. What about all the kids who need permanency within the foster care system? Adoption is an institution that has been here a long time (actually adjectives over the world.) I agree there are some definite issues with private adoption now but there are more realistic ways of dealing next to that.
Even what my family connections has gone through with my grandchild being taken surrounded by adoption and our long court battles fighting to get him subsidise I don't feel like all adoption should be illegal but i feel that couples and adoption agencies that take children next to out the parents knowing and hiding the child to use best interest should be treated like any other kidnapper and jailed. Right now a adoption agency can do this and just capture a slap on the hand and maybe sued but they will never feel the spasm that they put the child and natural parent through.
Adoptions are good for the lost child the ones that parents are on drugs even the ones in prison. Or worse the ones that are treat roughly. Foster care is not the answer.
They are changing the laws where on earth any one can buy the after morning pill easy so there will be a lot more abortions. Sad certainty.
The adoption industry, as it exists in the USA, should be undemocratic.
In order to change it, the general public would own to have a change of heart. So far, that hasn't happened.
.
Yahoo is not a place to rant. You have an issue in attendance and should consult your therapist.
Adoption will never be made illegal. Can we please discuss something constructive? I know it's a Friday, but geez.
Probably indistinguishable way in which saying ridiculous things anonymously on the internet could be made crooked. Source(s): Thanks for the two points, Weirdo.
Can I get some restitution for wasting the few seconds of my time it took me to read this question?
why the hell would you want to do that? without adoption, my mom and dad wouldnt have kids. lacking adoption, my son wouldnt have a real family. adoption is the biggest grant in the world. it may not go the way you want it to, but it is truly a miricle.
are you really Get Real?
I'm curious how a question about adoption, turned into anti abortion?
I think the suggestion of following another countries example, which have been in place for a while and is working, would be the best solution.
Why the f.u.c.kis adoption evil you massive weirdo
I didn't purchase my son. His fmom be unable to take care of him and he be removed from her care by DCFS when he was still in the hospital after one born.
I have tremendous empathy for my son's first mother as I can't imagine how horrible it must be to have your child taken away from you. However, my son needed a household to take care of him. That was beyond his control and a pity for his mother, but still true. I did nothing wrong by adopting him and feel no guilt.
