Adopters murdered within fla?
I am wondering why the people in fla that were kill were allowed to adopt so many children at their age was it for the money they be to receive every month. Also why were their only cameras out side the home and not inside the home maybe they be drug dealers and killed for the drugs because if they were worried just about all the children won't they also have had cameras contained by side to watch to see if the kids were ok something is wrong with this picture
Firstly they had cameras inside the home they have them every where due to the fact many of the children be very special needs. Two quotes from a news article - “The break-in be captured by an extensive surveillance camera system that the Billingses used to keep tabs on their children.” - “The couple, particular for their large family of adopted children, have an extensive surveillance system IN THE HOUSE and Morgan said authorities have reviewed the tapes repeatedly.”
This people be hardly old and from what I have also hear they only had 9 children actually living at home beside them. They were clearly able to take prudence of those kids both financial and emotionally. They adopted children that many other people would not enjoy adopted or been able to cope near adopting. This folks gave those kids a family. The police don’t know what the motive be but said it was mainly about money.
Every single one of those scumbags should be given the demise penalty.
Here are some quotes from a few articles that have been written. Notice the words “
“The couple, agreed for their large family of adopted children, have an extensive surveillance system in the house and Morgan said authorities have reviewed the tapes repeatedly.”
“They owned several local businesses, including a nouns company and a used car dealership.”
“In a 2005 story in the Pensacola News Journal, the couple said they wanted to share their privileged circumstances with children in need, but didn't conjure their family would grow so large.”
“Why the security system be not disabled. Authorities believe the suspects did not believe they were under surveillance, he said.”

This question really make me mad. These people were remarkably wealthy from their businesses, not adopting special needs children. They used the money God blessed them next to to adopt special needs children.
The adoption agency that I adopted my son through just not long had a baby born with severe special wants. The couple that had been picked for this baby chose not to travel through with the adoption. The first mom does not want to parent the child either. Thanks to people close to these, this baby is going to a home to be loved and cared for. There are people who get the impression like it's their calling to adopt special needs children that sadly most poeple don't want. They own the money and resources to provide these children with a good life and we as a society should be indebted people like them exist. They keep special wishes children out of government run facilities and nursing homes. These people are a blessing and it is so regretful that they were murdered in cold blood while 9 of their children were still contained by the home.
Presumably, they were evaluated, and showed the financial capacity to adopt so many children.
Also, Byrd Billings may hold been 68, but Melanie was 43, which is fairly infantile.
Most home security systems do not have internal cameras.
Finally, your random speculation is little more than rumormongering, and does little to shed any desk light on the motives in this case.
These associates were incredibly wonderful giving people. I think it is really down that you would say this about them without knowing them. They be able to give a home to many children whom other populace would not adopt. They were upstanding and wonderful people who worked hard to show others the worth of special desires children. They were killed by greedy people who saw the things they have and wanted them. It is a truly senseless killing. I find it sad that you would slander them approaching this.
You really need to learn some sensitivity, I hold a friend who was best friend's with Melanie, she was a honourable Christian woman who loved children. They had money before they ever adopted the first child...you can enjoy money without being a drug dealer. Go to Mypreciouskid.com and read her blog, she debate abt the death of her friend.
They were well-to-do businesspeople with a large house, so getting money wasn't a factor for them. (You don't normally attain money for adopting kids anyway, that's for foster care). I believe they owned a car dealership, among other things.
As to why they were murdered, who can know? I suspect it probably have to do with robbery, but you never know. Last I heard there be several people involved in the murder, so the story will probably come out in the days and weeks ahead.
I highly doubt it was for the money. Subsidies are not exactly going to fund a mansion and a pool. Some people do it for the money, and that's exploitative, but when a couple is already independently abounding, a few extra dollars a day is hardly worth the effort of the massive amounts of assistance special needs children require.
They only had guarantee cameras outside? Do YOU have security cameras in your home, inside OR out? Since when be that a requirement of good parenting? Most parents don't have security cameras at adjectives, and somehow their children manage to survive to adulthood. The whole point of "security" is because of intruders-- possibly they weren't afraid of people who lived in their own home? As most of us aren't? Are you seriously suggesting that people who don't enjoy the surveillance equipment you deem appropriate aren't "worried about" their kids?
They must be drug dealers, in it for the money, etc.? It couldn't be just that they LOVED their children, similar to any other parent? Because they adopted, their deaths can't be a tragedy, but have to be somehow their own glitch? That seems... more than a tiny bit prejudiced. People can and do love their adopted special needs children.
If actual evidence comes out, I will believe it. But until after, why speculate that they MUST have somehow been awful people?
wow i basically read the story, its so sad. they were good general public, taking on all those children who, lets face it, most inhabitants would not be willing to take on. its a disgusting crime, and its sad that they are getting slated for doing what i dream up is so generous. and with the subsidies, they were rich! why wud they bother if their heart werent in it? have people any perception what happens to special needs kids in policy run institutions or even foster care? kids need stability, especially these children. sick evil bastards killed them and i hope they acquire whats coming. bring back public hangings.
Hmmm.this is getting stranger and stranger. It looks like there may indeed be more to this story.

Wow. Is it /that/ hard for you to find some sort of sympathy and compassion for a couple that were murdered within their homes? Are you /that/ jaded that because the couple happened to be adoptive parents that you are looking to find some sort of misconduct or illegal activity surrounded by their lives in order to say that it be somehow THEIR fault?
Answers: As the previous poster said, Melanie be not that old .. only 43. That is not that old, outstandingly for parents adopting special needs children out of foster care.
The couple be already wealthy. They didn't need the money, and any small amounts they may have gotten as subsidies for special requirements adoption would never have compensated them for the time and energy they had to hold been putting into parenting children with so many special requirements. Why would a wealthy couple take on such a huge job a short time ago for such a small amount of money? They already had all the money to do everything they wanted. In insert, most subsidies in special needs adoption don't come in the form of dosh. It comes as free medicare for the child, free access to state colleges after high school graduation, state provided therapy, that manner of thing. Adoptive parents of special children are not collecting huge checks from the government every month. You need to check your facts back you start making accusations.
Second, they were allowed to adopt because they were of a mind to, and they must have convinced the social workers that they would make adequate parents. There are thousands of special wants kids who need homes in this country. It is very easier said than done to find families willing to adopt them and give them a unwavering home. Have you adopted any of these kids? Are you doing anything to help any of them?
Finally, how many family do you know that have cameras inside their home to monitor their children? Most people don't. Why would we hold them to such a ridiculously high standard a moment ago because they are adoptive parents? Besides many of their children were older...preteen, teen, and mature. Cameras would be considered a violation of older children's privacy. Source(s): http://www.necn.com/Boston/Nation/2009/0…
the money wasn't from adopt the children, they were wealthy before that.
The rest of your interview is just downright disrespectful. They weren't drug dealers.
Wow, you have need of to check a few facts!
1) They apparently loved the children and had the means to support them.
2) You don't get money for adopt.
3) How do you know there weren't cameras inside? The police have stated that they suspect the person assigned to disable the cameras outside made a mistake. That seem to imply that there were cameras that WERE disabled.
