Can a character within Missouri adopt a child within Canada?

I am thinking about adopting a little boy just about the age of 5 from Canada and I wanted to know if I could do that.
Per Danielle's question more currently...""I have be thinking the US, Poland or Russia. What country takes less time to adopt from? And which country has boys at the age of 5 that can speak English? Not any other speaking. Or at least they can speak full English for a 5 year old boy and another language.""

yes. you have to be in motion to canada and fill out a bunch of forms and live with him there for a few weeks... afterwards leave him there and come back to the US and riddle out a bunch of forms here. then you can go get him. it take years to adopt from a foreign country Source(s): my parents adopted me from the UK
Answers:    No, you can't.

The Canadian system will rarely even do inter-province adoption, much less allowing a child to be adopt outside the country, unless the potential adoptive parent is biologically related, and no home can be found in Canada. Source(s): Canadian Adoptive Mom
