ADOPTION AND LONG TERM FOSTTER HELPPPP :)?
Okay so yeah ^^.
my mom was wondering if anyone knows any good agencies for long residence fostering in virginia, or any websites we could look for information and numbers to call to get into the process. We are still surrounded by the mids of figuring out whether adopting a teen or long term fostering would be best. Any pros and cons will be standard too! (:
kk thanks!

Fostering a teenager, and long-term foster effort are not mutually exclusive. Teenagers and beyond still need parents around (at least for as long as life let them be, at any rate).

Most children in long-term foster care WANT to be adopt, at any age. Adopting the child makes them feel more like cut of your family for good. Fostering, even long term, the child is still a "guest."
ETA:
Long term fostering is not a goal, but the REALITY is that even if adoption is the permanency goal, especially few older children are adopted and the reality is long-term caution.

Answers: We are moving away from long term foster care except perchance for teens---and the goal for the teens would be transitional care or Guardianship if they wished not to be adopt. Long term care for children under than 13 would not be a permanency desire. If the child can not be returned home in a reasonable time limit set by the court the desire becomes adoption.
