Not sure i want to enjoy my own kids, how would i shift going on for adopt?
I wont be adopting for quite a few years (8 or 9 years) im 18 but im quite sure i dont want to own any babys myself (though i might change my mind)

Answers: The requirements are really based on which country you are adopt from. The fees are also based on the country. Not all adoptions are as expensive as what the party above me said.
If you adopt in the USA, you'll have more luck adopting a sibling set or African American masculine children than white children or infants.
It's also kind of a pain in the collar to adopt here, though sometimes there are grants and tax write-offs to backing with the cost.

Then there's a homestudy. The homestudy is not just a visit, but they also check your situation, you get fingerprinted, and they check your income. They make sure you are healthy, etc.
Then there's the dossier. That's similar to, all of your information, put together for the country. Pretty much everything that the homestudy "studied." It's extremely long, and often you have to hire someone to cause it for you. If you mess it up, your adoption is delayed.
Then more forms that your agency will help you file. After all of that, it could cart more than a year to get a baby. Usually, if adopting from another country you won't know how to adopt a baby younger than a year.
I've heard Guatamala and Ethiopia can give you infants (6 months, etc), but that's pretty sporadic. Expect a two year old.
You also usually have to be at least 25. Many countries hold no income level requirements, but do expect to spend about $30,000 to adopt the child. US adoptions are cheaper... conceivably 15,000? But they are usually, again a huge pain
