What does social services look for when an adoption is adjectives?

When looking to adopt social services or some kind of agency comes to your house and does an inspection. What do they look for? What kinds of questions do they ask? I am looking to adopt my step children and would similar to to be as prepared as possible. Any websites would also be appreciated.
they look at your income,if you have a roof over your head,if your stable,if your living arrangements are suitable for a child, and if your stable. as long as you can provide food and shelter and have income to support the child they will allow you to adopt
They look at the quality of living you are providing. For example, is your house verbs, do you have guns lying around, drugs and alcohol (if you have alcohol make sure its locked up), mold, bugs. There's a unbroken list of things but its mainly things like that. You shouldn't own any problems as long as you aren't doing anything illegal or are extremely filthy.

My dad adopted his step children and I don't even think they come to look.
Ahh, you took my suggestion. I hope these nice people are positive.
But be warned, some are "not so nice", and full of angry opinions. I'm sure you will recognize them, if they show up.
Have a "lively pregnancy", I hope everything works out for You, and your Family.
Again, I really think your effort here is rooted in love. Your husband have excellent taste, in my opinion.
I mull over step-child/children adoptions (father married to the new wife and the mother of the children has agreed to surrender parental rights) are handle a little differently than straight out adoptions to complete strangers. I could be wrong. A family attorney would tell you for certain.
EVERYTHING. My father and his wife are adopting through social services. Their homestudy is pending because of the neighbors behind them have a pit bull out back!
your type of house, what your plans for a toddler are, if any one of you are planning to stay at home, your possible criminal record, your health, your past marriage etc.
Answers:    They look for any hazards in the home, check the upstairs to make sure here is a fire escape plan in place. Check your background, smoke alarms, CO2in place, size of your home, where you are working, what are your plans within case of an emergency[and we all have them] how several bedrooms, how many children etc etc. In regular foster care and adoption they measure your bedrooms to determine how oodles children can sleep in each room.[I've measured a few]Example--a bedroom 14 by 14 can sleep five---with 6 children in the home max. any question just send me an e-mail.
