Adoption assist please answer?
Ok I'm really confused about adoption I'm only 11 ( I know I have to hang around 10 more years) but how much does it cost to get a newborn from either Korea or china, do you get to pick out your newborn, do you get to name your baby, and how matured does the baby have to be thanks
I infer the point above that things might be very different in 10 or 20 years is true.
For example, a few years ago, adopting from China wasn't thoroughly restrictive and the not as expensive. However, the government realized that Americans and other foreign nationals adopt their 'surplus' children was an opportunity. So, the cost of adopting from China has become more expensive ($30,000) and the requirements hold been more stringent (you must be married and, I think, over 30 or 35).
So, by the time you are old satisfactory to adopt (more like 15 or more years) the rules, cost, and requirements could be very different.
I'll answer even though I am sure the answers will be non-operational by the time you are old enough to adopt.
You cannot get a newborn from any country, the youngest to come home from Korea would be 8 months b/ they will not be available for int'l adoption until they are 5 months. China is about 10 months.
No, you do not get to pick out the baby. You are given a referral for a child beside all it's info and medical info and they you either agree or don't.

The actuall "baby" does'nt cost, the flight, the tourist leader, the hotels, the cabs, the translator, and the leave spottings do though. When you apply for being an adoptee, and get accepted they distribute you a picture of your baby. My parents said they were so excited when they got mine! :) you seize to name your baby what ever you want to name him/her. First, Middle, and Last. The babe is usually less than a year, but more than 6 months. i was adopted at 10 months elderly. (The registration and wait takes about 6 months, so yea.)

What on land are they teaching kids these days in academy about adoption?? At 11 yrs old...having kids...any charitable of kid.. from anywhere.. was the furthest thought from my 11 yr old brain!
I don't think it costs much to draw from the baby. It's more of the fee of the Agency and their workers. So, Between $100-$300 dollars. (:
