I am stuck! Need some design...?
Okay, I have a full name and a date of birth. I've registered with numerous sites and own been googling to no end, as well as questioning on social networking sites (sending poor pathetic "Are you my mother, father, brother, sister?" messages). I have have no luck. My search may be international. Short of hiring someone to look for me, does anyone have any ideas?
Answers: Jackie, do you be going to you have your full name at birth and real birth date, or do you niggardly you have your mother's information? I successfully searched for my son's mother in Asia, but I have her name and the village where he be relinquished. I hesitated to answer because you said it "may be" international so I don't know if our experience would be helpful.
I joined a bunch of yahoo groups for culture from my son's country and who adopted from there. I asked for contacts who worked with NGOs that worked beside orphanages & family services - people who felt strongly give or take a few keeping families together. I was referred to someone who spoke English and had appropriate computer access who was willing to help & one and only asked for actual expense reimbursement. Finding my searcher took months. The search took him less than a week - but I had a settlement name.
eta: I have the same situation surrounded by my bio family. I have my Phillipine grandfather's name but not my grandmother's. They weren't married. All I've found is some immigration library for him through Ancestry.com, but that doesn't give much info.
You could put your name into a family tree site to see whose contained by your tree or write an article in a magizine People and other magizines luv that. good luck in your go through! =)
