What humane of policy assistance can teen parents grasp?
I could or could not be pregnant, and if I am, i'm faced with the choice of adoption or teen parenting (im 19) and i'm just wondering what charitable of help I could get should I decide to save the baby. School tuition? Medical insurance for both of us? Living expenses?
You're 19, a baby woud ruin you! MANY Diapers, baby food, house, etc. Adaption is a much better option, but I am not going to desire who are going to be the baby's paents, am I? xD
I don't the gov, does anything, though...
There's teenager's out here that aren't on goverment assistance & making it work ! I'll plead guilty that you both need medical insurance, so there's this thing where I live call Medicaid it might be called something else where you live ! Try looking it up online . idk about the political affairs assistance where you live !
How many months pregnant are you right now ? If your not that far along you can bring back a job & work up until you need to take motherliness leave !
Actually the government wouldn't consider you a teen parent ! You are legally considered an grown ! So you might not get as much help than other teenage mothers . Source(s): Smiley .
You're legally an adult, so there's not much the government will do for you.
Planned adoption. It's what I did (I'm 15) and I probably spent around $15. You find parents before you have the baby, and consequently give it to them when it's born. They pay for everything, and even compensate you with a short time extra if you want
There is medicaid for medical, foodstamps for food and afdc for money. Its not much money, you really do not bring back enough to live off of.They do have low income housing. But if you hold to live off the government to raise your child after you really should pray your not pregnant.
19 you will get nothing. if you were 18 and underneath there are things the government can do for your baby i'm pretty sure. but 19 your on your own sorry.
Answers: I was 18 with an unplanned pregnancy. I HAD a livelihood but no insurance. You can get medicaid for you and the baby. If you have medicaid you automatically qualify for WIC (Women, Infants & Children) that will contribute you basics like milk and rice and peanut butter and juice. And once the newborn is born WIC can get you formula. Depending on your living situation and income you may qualify for food stamps and daycare assistance once the baby is born.
I see NO shame in getting Government assistance until you find on your feet. That is why it is there! To help low-income women/families! Unplanned pregnancy is rock-hard to deal with and you need adjectives the help you can get. Just dont plan on living off of it next to no plans to take care of yourself.
Good luck to you and keep your team leader high no matter what choice you make!
Contact a program called WIC (women infants and children), they give out profoundly of food vouchers for formula and stuff. Source(s): A friend is on the program
You could acquire this thing...called a JOB.
I got pregnant at 19 and do not draw from a penny from the government and neither should you. Grow up.
