What should i do? i'm 18, spain or college?
i'm 18 and have always dreamed of living in spain so i planned that when i turn 18 i would move at hand. I have just finished my exams in giant school back in june. i'm only back from a holiday in mallorca (spain) which i go every year. so when i come back it has made me even more determined to go and try achieve a job and live there or even for the summer next year to see if i absolutely like it. But my mother really wants me to go to college contained by september and has tried to turn me off going to spain shes really upsetting me. Its what i really want to do. I told her that when i come back from spain after a few months bad start college next september. I am going to spain with 2 guys to try find work or even save up plenty now just incase we don't find a job.
Were planning on departing 1st April 2010.
I was really looking forward to going i've even most of my summer clothes bought for it, and now my mother is really putting me off it.
what should i do?
I lived in Spain for 11 years...And speak the language.. Its of inferior quality people think. I would stick to college... Later in your duration there are far better countries to go to and live in. Believe me when I influence, that Spain is for the Spanish. And they like it that way.
Give college a try first. Take it from me, doing the college item is a lot easier when you are as young as you are. You'll end up within Spain doing whatever and then one of two things will happen you will any NEVER go to college which can be detrimental or you will go later surrounded by life and it will be much more difficult whereas Spain. will ALWAYS be there.

Why ask, your going to do what every 18 year dated would do... Spain.
You should really go to college. I'm not trying to preach but it would be the Responsible thing to do. If you want to travel, look into the traveling classes. I know the local college in my town jump to Spain, France and tons of other places.
u can always go to college but the spain trip could be a once contained by a life time opportunity.
Go to college. Your mother speaks the truth, she speaks from the voice of reality. Spain is just a fantasy, and it'll wear stale sooner or later. Besides, living in Spain won't be as jolly lolly pops as you reflect.
Go with reality, and get a suitable college education.
Go to college within Spain, if you know Spanish well enough. Actually, I think at hand are some colleges where you can take classes in English. That style both you and your mom would be happy.
If you asked me, I would say be in motion to College. Study and work hard. You could travel abroad (ask your school just about it) and then during your third year or so of college you could take your semester in Spain. I devise that would be very fulfilling. That's what I would do. =)

Years went by as he swam the great distance assuredly he was helped by the golden dolphins who be helpers of those lost at sea. Nearly awaiting his arrival a great white shark with a wine-red nose and crystal blue eyes impeded the path of the dolphin near rooster on board. Hault! exclaimed the shark. You must pay to pass. Neither the dolphin or rooster have money. So the shark said if you dare pass you both will pay with your duration. The dolphin in his altruistic way gladly told the shark if we both will die i would contentedly give my life for this rooster is my guest and he must arrive at his destination. the shark knew the dolphins be selfless and quickly ate him and regurgatated the golden skin so to use for currency. however the shark was still hungry and it have been years since he ate poultry. not being a man of his word he thrusted towards the floating rooster. amidst devouring the helpless rooster a whale knocked the shark away. he be sherrif in this territory and had saw what happen. he arrested the shark and charged him with extortion. he gladly escorted the rooster to shore. sadly he did not realize he come to close and was beached. the rooster cried as many animals devoured the whale. he shuffled away into the brush and found himself surrounded by a magical place where he met a flamingo named frank. frank was a nice elderly chap...
hey my mom is 37 and she get my bro at a young age so what she always tells us is walk have an adventure u can come back and do collage because u are not gonna bring back another opertunity to go to spain so take it while u have it

The people are amazing along near the culture it's worth it do it when you are young who cares you don't have kids on the other hand don't worry about it. Go for a couple years then come subsidise and start being an adult (lame) I'm 21 and all I do is travel! Whoot!

College first! I moved to Spain 7 years ago when I was 19, after going to college and learing a trade that I could use in Spain (Beauty and Massage Therapy).
I really do not want to put a dampener on it but living within Spain is very different than holidaying here.
I was lucky enoygh to move with my parents and 5 bros and Sisters but it be not easy.
I was incredibly home sick and would recommend learning Spanish since you get here.
I was lucky enough to jump down into a job with an english company because I had a trade but my sister who be 18 at the time found it really difficult, because she could not speak Spanish and did not have a trade. She ended up working 55 hours a week in a hotel, earn 1,000EUR a month.
Wages in Spain are very low (between 850 and 1,100EUR full time). Also, you only seize out of the health system what you put into it so if you plan on staying here for a while you need to get a opportunity with a contract that pays your social. Otherwise you will be charged at the hospital.
The reccession has hit spain very defectively. All the jobs that are available are going to the Spanish. Most of my english speaking friends have gone home because they can not get work.
But equally, Spain is a great place to live and holiday. I love the heat but sometimes i wish it was not so tricky. I have learnt spanish so that has help me loads.
Why not go to spain for the summer break and work in a bar and still move about to college?
That way you have a college dipolma and when you have finished you can bear a break in spain and stay there for as long as you want.
I hope i am not appearing too negative, I lately wanted to let you know what it is really like living here.
