12 Year Old Son's First Mac, Which One?

Ok tomorrow I am going to buy my 12 year old son his first Mac. He is Very smart with computers, he even knows how to Jailbreak iPods And iPhones. And I in recent times Have One Question...

Which One
iMac 24 inch ($1500)
OR
MacBook Pro 13 inch ($1500)

Thank You, and please answer quick!
wrong division but mac's r thee same to me and they r thee same price so how bout reading the reviews they are usually pretty helpful
None, I have an iMac and it was a joke. It kept breaking down, it had Chinese symbols on the computer, it wouldn't even play games specifically written for Mac, plus zilch else worked. I only had it for 2 years, because it was cast-offs.

Windows is better, because you can actually use it.

I'd NEVER purchase another Apple product. Apple is cheap, overpriced rubbish.
Answers:    Why don't you just ask him which one he likes best?
After adjectives it Will be his and not our so why should we chose?
I don't think it really matters if they are the same price..!
Why not ask him if he wants a desktop or a laptop? He might own a preference. If it's for a surprise... that's a tough call. Both are good, but MacBooks are easier to drop and break because they're portable.
I would go with the cheeper one, I own one and it works just fine.
Get the 13 inch.
You just asked this idiot.

Once again, my answer is anyone can jailbreak an iphone, it's not that hard, and second of adjectives get the macbook, it will spoil him even more.. Source(s): .

Have a great day
