TEENS: What do you presume of ...?

parent controls?
Do you have them on your computer?
Do you believe they are good or bad?
I used too? But I got a new computer and my never put them on. Sometimes I yearning he kept them on and I actually tried putting them on myself before because sometimes things come up on my computer that I'd rather not see and sometimes I involve to stop looking at a certain website if you know what I mean. But otherwise I don't care for them. If you enjoy them it's really easy to delete the password.
I don't have them. My parents have /never/ restricted my computer usage/viewing, even at a unbelievably young age (8) and I think it actually /helped/ beside teaching me to grow up into a well-behaved young lady. Sure, I widely read about sex, drugs, and violence early on - but I also intellectual the very, very bad sides of those things, and not to do them.
By the time a kid is in the region of 12 or 13, they're hearing about everything in institution, on TV, and with friends... so restricting their computer use is futile anyway.
They're good for irresponsible or immature kids, otherwise they aren't necessary. I don't enjoy them.
I HATE THEM! I have them, and they block half the question on here! Grrrrrrrrrr!! >:(
And my parents limit the times as well.
For some reason, mine blocks MSN. What the heck?

And I don't know why parents are so paranoid. It's not approaching their kid is going to go out killing people if they don't hold any. I understand if the kid is 7 years old or something, but teenagers know everything sexual there is to know from arts school and stuff, so they're kind of pointless if the kid is 13 or older. i don't have them on mine. as this is my own laptop that i pay for. but i think its a upright for younger children. otherwise, we teens don't need them. it blocks important information.
No, don't have them, i think they could be well brought-up for stopping harmful websites that could have viruses on them, but as far as censor information, or not allowing me to search certain things, i'd absolutely hatred it.
No they are BAD.And no i don't have them on my comp.
No i don't have parental blocks.(kind of glad, u can't obtain on anything clean or dirty with them on.)
I believe there devout for younger kids(12 and down)
but 13 and up i think ur old enough so it doesn't situation.
Answers:    No, I don't enjoy them on my computer, because my parents know they can trust me.
I think that parent controls are stupid because all it does is show the teenager that their parents can't trust them. If their parents enjoy proof that their teenager is going on inappropriate websites, then by adjectives means they should install parent controls, but if they don't have proof of that, then they should a short time ago trust that it isn't happening and chill out.
Don't have them anymore.

They can be apposite and bad. Good for blocking inappropriate stuff for children but bad because they tend to block adjectives the fun sites (this one, games etc).
We have them. A couple of years pay for (age 14), I tried to get on Google, but I couldn't because of parental controls. What the hell?

They're good for younger kids (like up until second grade), but I'd just use the "general" (everyone) portrayal and check the Web site history if I was concerned.
I don't have them on my puter. My puter is my puter I do as I please

For kids 12 and younger I think they need to block out the "good" stuff.
Don't have them, don't want them.

It depends on why the parent would be putting it on the computer, but overall, I think they suck.
don't have them, don't need them.
they can be obedient or bad, depends.
don't own them, don't like them
