i know this subject is touchy and strange but i don't get the relationship between parents and teenagers. im 17 and it seems like most parents totally freak and fault if they discover their teenager wants to pleasure themselves one way or another. why does it seem to be like when parents find a porn magazine in a male's room and they just shrug it rotten like "boys will be boys" but find a "toy" in a teenage female's bedroom and the stuff of parent-time seems to split. is female masturbation so taboo? what is your opinion on this subject, parent or not. im turning 18 contained by august and my mom has NEVER breached this subject with me before.i infer shes to old fasion for this stuff.
parents dont feel so embarrassed and shameful more or less this.when im a parent someday im going to directly talk to my teenagers about this and assure them its alright.
i wanna do simply that to! my mom didn't say anything until i was watching some movie and they said masturbation and she hastily told me wht it be and went on with her life, and my dad doesn't say aloud anything, but he'd probs be better at talking about it then her :( womanly masturbation is not taboo, i think its great for everyone to just go ahead and **** or anything they wanna do !
i see no problem with it, and while it may not be something that most ethnic group want to talk about openly, it should not be a taboo subject. i estimate as our generation gets older it will abate taboo because it is slowly becoming more acceptable, whereas our parents were not exposed to this kind of item (or at least talking about it) when they be younger. everyone should be able to feel pleasure and there is zilch wrong with having toys or magazines to oblige them do so.

Even in the year 2009, a lot of things that have to do next to girls & sex are "taboo". Anything sexual is taboo, that's why you get a lot of kids asking stupid sex questions on here, since their parents are too humiliated to just talk to them about it resembling normal adults.

I ponder people freak out becuase ladies are supposed to be classy and ladylike. Nobody ever pictures them doing that. Girls and sex are taboo.
I think it's alright but parents largely scoff at that kind of behavior or anything sex related anyways. Sometimes I don't always blame them because its reasonable them to fear their kids actually getting sexually curious or active and extension up with the worst result: unintended pregnancy. My parents and probably most other parents were raised surrounded by a environment where sex was never on TV and you probably didn't know about it till highschool. But I deem it's okay! Would you rather you're kid get rid of their sexual pleasures themselves or would you rather them find someone else to do it for them? Which is safer? I imagine getting to into "pleasuring yourself" can be really bad though and if you do it younger than let's say 15 I think it can pretty much turn you into a pervert but otherwise I reflect it's healthy and natural. Except I hate it when general public talk about it and such. Satisfy yourself all you want but don't broadcast it to everyone and do it contained by private. And as for the sexist thing I think it's just standards. Guys are see to have a more open and stronger sexual drive which isn't true. Girls have like peas in a pod drive except maybe their more embarassed or polite to let it known to the world and try to ease it. It's more cooler for a guy to be sexually active. If I girl was sexually active it'd be more adjectives for her to be called slut while on the other hand a guy would be getting high fives or congrats.
I think it is wrong for teenagers (male and female) to have access to pornography and sex toys because those items are made for adults and are unauthorized for children.
However, I don't think there is anything wrong with teenagers masturbating and if I own children and they ask about it I will tell them it's okay.
