Hi. I'm 15 and me and my boyfriend have just found out that I am pregnant. He is 18 so is it possible that a GP or midwife could report him to the police or is it only my parents who can do that? My parents wont, I simply want to know whether somebody other than my parents are able to report my boyfriend? Please help.

Im in the exact same situation, we both are the same age. I worried about this but when the doctor and midwife asked his age i told them and they didn't come across bothered they asked if he was still involved and he is and hes bin really supportive and they thought that was really nice i never got 1 glum reaction off any professional, they won't report it unless you imply that he forced him self on you. Just don't verbs and make sure you make it clear that you wasn't pressured into it.

I don't think a doctor would report you. It's docs and midwifes job to give you as comfortable and easy a pregnancy as possible, and starting a court case doesn't nouns like it will be any use to anyone

Since you are obviously having consentual sex - he's not forcing you. So I do not think a medical practitioner would report it - especialy as the stress and stuff it would end in you.
I THINK you parents COULD make a case about it BUT I'm sure that because you are over not a complete minor (like 12) and it be consentual he is not automaticaly commiting a crime. This may just be my knowledge of american tv shows though. It may be you that has to report it for it to be potent.

There's no real motivation a GP or midwife needs to know how old the father is... that I know of.
For the age difference, yes he is over 18 which channel he is an adult and you are a minor BUT in some states it differs. In VA if you are 16 and he is 18 you are allowed to have sex, but 15 and 18 is unconstitutional. So i would check up on that because a lot of people don't know that it differs between states and they think that if he is 18 you are completely irrelevant with him.
I seriously doubt that the doctor or midwife will report you, they see teenage pregnancies all the time. It's really not their top priority.
