*Re-post* How can I tempt my mom to permit me stay home?

I'm 15 almost 16. My mom and sister are going out of town on the 13th of August to see my grandma and go to a nuptial. I really rather not go because I don't really know the people getting married and I start tennis on the 17th and I have need of to be there for that. And I wanna spend time with my boyfriend. (: I can stay with my dad at the time but will probably stay at my best friend's house most of the time anyways because I'm other there. ha ha. She let me stay home alone before too. How can I sermon her into letting me stay home for the weekend? And how should I bring it up to her?

Tell her how responsible you are and give many examples..but dont bug her too much just about it.
P.s. only ask her once and let her think roughly it ..then remind her again like 2 days before the trip

how about just asking if you can sleep over at your friends and your dads that weekend. narrate her you really dont feel like getting dressed up and going to a wedding. dont bring it up until it comes time though, a couple days past or something. she should understand.
Answers: It's probably the boyfriend issue that is causing her concern, do you think?
Maybe if you in recent times explain why you'll feel uncomfortable going, she'll understand.
But maybe she's thinking it'll appear disrespectful if they show up and you don't. It's hard to guess.
Why don't you have a talk next to her and see what her motives are for wanting you to go, and explain your thoughts about why you don't want to (but leave out the boyfriend part). You hold nothing to lose.
