Is high-ranking academy really approaching how it is surrounded by the movies?

Is it really like how the movies portray it?

In the movies, there is always a clique of super popular girls who strut down hallway with everyone giving them room, even though they are super mean. Then, there's always the popular jocks... who lately want to have sex... Also, nobody is willing to make alien friends especially the "popular" people..

I know this a stupid question, but is high conservatory really like that? All clique-y.. peer pressurized.. and an environment where you are unable to trademark friends?

Lol. Thanks for answering
No. Some of the jocks at my school, believe it or not, are in the BAND and DRAMA CLUB -Gasps-
Not at all. Depends on the school you to go as capably. If it's a big school then maybe. There's other going to be groups of friends for example the "goths", "preps", "jocks", etc. That's just because they are all interested in like peas in a pod things. Doesn't mean you can't be friends with everyone. When I went to university my friends were all on the "gothy" side, but I was friends beside everyone. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Be yourself and people will close to you for who you are and if they don't then they're closed minded and aren't even worth your time.
Yeah, sort of. But the moves way over exaggerate it. To the point that it's almost nought like reality. All schools will hold clicks, but in my experience. Most keep to themselves and don't bother anyone.
No course! In my first month or two there, I made a bunch of new friends (mostly upperclassmen too, crazy huh?)! Yes, there is annoying jocks, heck, there's annoying unathletic kids too! But you're going to be around idiots adjectives your life, right?
As long as you don't act stupid or conformist you'll do fine. Also, it helps to team up a club or team, but you don't have to.
Most of the time, no. There are cliques and people who are more popular than others, but most "popular" empire are nice, and people usually aren't as shallow and superficial as they are in the movies.
No, its not. There are some similarities but they are really exaggerated in movies. There are some cliques but its usually not just a few really popular girls who are really expect and everyone worships them, just doesn't happen. Movies aren't really a good representation of soaring school
don't worry..it's not a stupid put somebody through the mill :)

well, all high school are different, but mine isn't. it's a bit different at my school.like there are some girls who meditate that they're all that, but they're not smart and, no one likes them. lol

so basically be yourself...be friendly and nice and you'll make plenty of friends.
NO! That's one of the reasons I stopped watching Disney. High school is nothing resembling that. It's just a bunch of regular people. Yes they do have jocks and cheerleader but not adjectives of them want sex. (Even though most people in High School do)
high school is mainly drma and more drama
There are definitely cliques surrounded by high school...but just be yourself! I have friends that were popular and friends that were considered nerdy! I loved them all and get along with everyone! just treat others how YOU would want to be treated and you should be fine! Good luck!! :)
hahaha no.
No
it is not
they are similiarities though
the film industry exaggerates things
they are cliques but they usually do not completely detestation each other
the popular kids are not worshipped by everyone
It depends on the high school. I don't know about America because i live within Australia.
But in Australia, schools are nothing resembling that.
Im going to high school this year and i really hope not but i would be the girl that similar to makes the school better and isnt scared of the penny-pinching popular girls LOL
Answers:    no. i guess it kinda depends on what school you go to but i go to a really small university (300 people) and we dont really have cliques. everyone wants to be friends with the contemporary kid till we find out what kinda person they are then they just find a group of friends. I guess in that are sorta groups of friends, all the band kids stick together and the "smart kids"(who are actually the smart kids that chew over everyone should know their smart) and the special ed kids and stuff but...i like high school, i never want to move off!
nooooo way, i was worried about that too,
but it is definitly not
dont verbs about it:]
just be yourself
no way!! i guess it does depend what school you get to and the media had to get those design from somewhere, but where i'm from...it's not like that at all!! even near my friends that go to other schools!!
That's just contained by the movies ( dumb, isn't it?? making people nervous for no reason haha)
sure you'll run into have it in mind people, guys that are actually after that " one thing" but don't worry you'll survive
(sounds cliche) but guess what? it really does work to lately be yourself ;)
Not at all. They movies manufacture high school look way worse later it is.
Nope. I have found that the freshman are the ones that care in the region of popularity the most. As you get older people spread apart within highschool and popularity isn't as big as a deal.
is anything really how it is contained by the movies?
Haha no, but there are some popular people. Basically the football players and cheerleaders are the popular group at my university. The bandies are also popular, strangely enough. It is very cliquey though. Just be yourself and don't mind the idiots who think they're the sh*t, because believe it or not they aren't. Good luck! Source(s): Soon-to-be Junior
