My 10yr hoary son can't stop from constant moving...?
I have a 10yr old son who constantly have to move around. Either moving is leg or moving his entire body is getting incredibly annoying. He simply can not hold still longer than a minute or two and would be moving around again.
Can someone help with this?
Is this some kind of anxiety/behavioral disorder that he will eventually out grow or could this be more serious than I thought?
Please dispense advise and medical term for this so I can properly address it to his physician.
Thanks!
He could have a tick, or its something in his brain that causes his body to jolt so to say. Source(s): Some times my hands will twitch a bit or my leg would jerk at irregular times,
It is possible that he is just going through a phase of restlessness or hyperactivity. If he is particularly physically active, it is possible that he just likes to move around. I run on a daily basis, and I find myself moving my feet or my legs while I am sitting or laying down. Did this just start, or have it been going on for a while?
If it has been going on for a while, he may enjoy some sort of hyperactive disorder, such as ADHD. Or, maybe his legs just get tight and he wishes to stretch them, such as with Restless Leg Syndrome.
Depending on the level of severity, you may want to talk to his doctor. If you are unbelievably concerned, seek medical attention.
conceivably he's bored. have him play and run around at the park...i bet that'll stop him from moving so much.
im 13 yrs prehistoric and i have been doing that since i was similar to 6 years old there is nothing wrong near me. my doctor just says im an active kid. you should try taking your son to a sports center and try to procure him involved in sports activities which are tiring.
you may think im lately a kid but it worked for me
most likely yes he probably have problems.
contact ur doctor or something. make an appointment!
that happened to my cuzin
it sounds normal to me 10 year olds are often bouncy, but take him to your gp and ask him to check for signs of ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder)

You might want to get him tested for ADHD.
Sorry but i really consider no medical condition to list now if it affects his arts school work and personal life then it might me some add or adhd but i be the same way when i was ten and consider it a time during his existence that he will grow out of put him in sports. Competitive swimming is the best sport during the summer its frequent, fun, and has a great family atmosphere.
