Adolescents! What would you do if you or a family connections contributor have H1N1 (swine) flu?
I'm mostly asking this to figure out if my reaction is over-the-top.
I've been house-sitting for a week, and tonight be my last night. I was super excited to stir home, but then my mom called me from the doctor's office motto that the CDC was fairly certain my sister have H1N1 after her strep and mono tests came back refusal.
Am I over-reacting by being reluctant to go home? I'll probably be staying with a friend for a few days. In my defense, I've be working all the time lately, and I have many hours at work; I can't a moment ago give those up for the sake of illness when my college career depends on them. I know that H1N1 is in recent times as dangerous as the regular flu, but I can't help being extra guarded.
Would you be scared to go/stay home?
My mom had it, and I know a little girl who did, it's not a big matter, they're fine now. And chances are your sister will be too.
Nothing..Its no deadlier than the regular flu...Stick a fancy dub in front of the word flu and the media says 'OH NO! We're adjectives gonna die!'
Honestly? I'm not afraid of it..I remember when it was a big thing..There was a possibility that my friend's little sister could hold had it..I didn't care. I still went over her house.Turns out, she didn't in fact have it.
It would be a flawless idea for you to stay at a friends house until things wear down but in that time send your sister flowers and cards
Unless your immune system is compromised, it isn't deep. It's the flu. People get all dramatic about it, it's not a big buy and sell.
Wash your hands and stay your distance. You'll be fine.
You know what I would do?
Go on with normal natural life. It's a flu, no different, more people die from stomach flu a year than swine. Just calm down. And I think you are mortal too paranoid, and instead of wanting nothing to do with it, I'd help out.
"swine" flu is as strong as regular flu. So theres a solid chancethis own flesh and blood member will survive
My younger sister have it and I've been around her all week and I'm fine!
I would be scared. I wouldn't want to jump home! I would probably wear one of those masks around all the time! haha. I wouldn't want to get sick..
Answers: well i have a 3 month elderly, so i would stay bring him to my parents and have them watch him for the day while i go home and disinfected my whole house. then i would give it a few days previously i brought brody back into the house. 3 month olds dont do well with the flu
No-I wouldn't be upset. What happens, happens.
But in your defense I can see while your startled. I mean, who wants to get sick?
it's different for everyone. your reaction is your own and it's most certainly ordinary. other people may feel differently. but you're not over reacting.
H1N1 is just approaching the regular flu. People are over-reacting badly to this. This is just a new strain of the regular flu and ancestors are making it out to be like SARS all over again. Trust me, I lived through SARS. My mom was a nurse working within a SARS-filled hospital. My uncle had SARS.
We survived.
Just make sure you are very verbs. Keep a bottle of hand sanitizer with you at all times. Cough and sneeze within your sleeve. Wash your hands a lot.
Seriously, people are over-reacting to something explicitly really kinda dumb. This is just like the regular flu (which kills thousands of nation every year). This isn't an epidemic, it's stupid.
