15 year outmoded bedtime for summer break?

Aright, so- It's summer vacation. I'm 15. Dad needs proof as to why I should be able to stay up long-gone 12:00 midnight. Friends are all around to stay up 3 AM+ in my area. He tell me that there is research done on the subject proving this is a good bedtime for my age. I highly disagree seeing as I enjoy had decent marks throughout the year and hold been staying up to hit the sack around 3 - 4 AM without problems. Need good supporting arguments, briskly, now, go.

Much appreciated.
you're lucky. I have to go to bed at 10-10:30 during the summer. I'm 14 years old-fashioned. I usually stay up til about 1 or 2 in the morning though then i sleep until midday.
As long as you are not participating in any suspicious behavior, I see no reason as to why you should not have a later/no bedtime. I'm sixteen and I haven't have a bedtime since it was necessary (probably 6 years ago).
A reason might be that you want to complete the full summer experience which includes not only making better use of your 24 hour days, but also having the freedom you earned beside your above average grades during the year.

Hope that helped :]
Your youthful and have loads of unburned energy to be exact wasted. You must stay awake longer in order to successfully regain complete dash. Think of it as a laptop battery. It’s better to let the battery drain until it is late then recharge to better extend the life expectancy. Source(s): My Brain
okay, quibble with him,
say you can go to bed belatedly
BUT
you'll get up early enough to not wastte your summer away
for example
dad i'll be in motion to bed at like 2 or 3 and be up by 11 every day

in my feelings, im a 17 year old girl
and i think 2 and 3 are way approach to late for you to
you do need your sleep
and theres nothing to do surrounded by the middle of the night anyways.
I'm almost 14. I stay up around that time. (really bad though)
There has be studies shown that staying up past 10 PM (or around that time) is bad for your mental and physical health.

Teens who stay up long-gone that time tend to be or become more suicidal, or have suicidal thoughts...

I think I do need to go and get to sleep earlier and get up earlier, because it's really be making everything out of whack, plus for health reasons, since I sing.

Your body needs that time to sleep, and it may encounter off illnesses during that time you relax. It's easier to get sick when your body doesn't have that time...

I thought indistinguishable thing; that it's summer, and I should be able to stay up. My parent's don't force me to go to bed at a convinced time. But overall, I'm exhausted and I'm not very productive during the day. I used to be able to stay up, but I missed going skiing because I couldn't wake up up early enough (still sleeping at 11 AM)

Going to bed at 12 AM is a very okay time. This may not be the answer you wanted, and I seem like a hypocrite and probably nouns like I'm 40...but later in vivacity, you won't regret getting enough rest.

Your body is designed with an internal schedule around the sun.

But sometimes we hold to learn things on our own.
We tell our parents things, and think they don't know what it's approaching to be a kid, but we'll look back and realize that they may have been right...

(Wow my parents would be proud...lol) Source(s): http://www.app.com/article/20090610/LIFE…

Well I'm 15 too and don't have a bedtime :)

Tell him that you get good grades, are a good kid, and that you are old ample to decide when to go to bed. Tell him if it start causing problems that you will jump to bed earlier.

P.S. I have a job and stay up within till 4 somethings and does not affect me. ( I sleep in late tho)
ok think almost it why would you even wanna stay up that late anyways? what u gunna do play some stupid video game or watch mindless tv adjectives night? thats just stupid id a bit be sleeping.. id rather go to sleep precipitate so i could wake up early without human being tired so i can do more stuff.. makes sense
As long as you stay indoors and don't do crap that will make your dad distrust you, then nearby should be no problems. Don't make 3 AM your bedtime every night, just on occasion should be okay. And damn it... don't sleep in passed 11 AM. Some adults seem to think that this is a fitting first-step to being a frickin bum. Show that staying up late doesn't mean you are on the quick track to skid row!
Flash your report card. It helps me stay up from 4-5 in the morning. Or, do extra chores... or make dinner and desserts for your mom, or possibly that's just mine.
hate to make clear to you but your dads right. you should actually be in bed earlier. forgivably if there is an event, you should occasionally be allowed to stay up later but not to often.

you may not discern the lack of sleep now but you will when your older. angelic sleep is key!
my dad doesn't keeping on how late i stay up. i usually stay up until 3 AM. but you have no job or any entry the next morning.
Tell him that when he was young he probably be out late and that you deserve to have some funn during the summer. :)

also if you have cell phone enlighten him you will check in if he wants (like texting or call)
bedtimes are custom some people sleep best at one time others at a different your dads info is an average. personally during the summer me nor any of my friends hold had a bedtime at all since we were 13, and we repeatedly stay up till 7am or occasionally skip sleep altogether for one night. in truth, the effectrs are really not that bad, and lone last the following day.
Im 15, and my parents don't care. if you have a cell phone a moment ago keep them in contact and let them know what your doing so they know your sheltered.
You need a bed time. Maybe not by like nine you want to be in bed. But you are still a child and live at home with mom and dad. Or one or the other. And if not a bed time a faultless time when you should be home at least. Source(s): mother of 1
just stir to bed.
when you get older and get a job(like i do now)
you yearning you hadnt stayed up and were used to staying up.
cause now i own to get up at 5 in the morning.
hey it summer time off and you should be able to stay up late if you want to ... hey im 14 and i stay up until 2:00AM
That's a tough one. There are no actual studies, but A, if you're not tired, you're not going to be forced to sleep! It's summer, so there's nothing pending, and staying up belated doesn't kill.
uhm. thats rugged..

well ur 15. it's summer. no commitments?. school. or work?.

uhmm. doesnt evrybody stay up late anyway?. idk. doesnt he?..
exacly 1:26:59 am
trust me next day u wake up...

woooooof.fresh state of mind
Tell him it's summer, and if you don't have anything to wake up up for in the morning then it's fine and there's no reason to move about to bed early.
If your at home then you should be allowed to stay up until whenever.

But a midnight curfew is VERY reasonable.
lol. i don't really have a pious argument. but im 14, a girl (not sure if that does anything) and i can stay up till whenever i want. sure my mom makes odd faces if i convey her i went to bed when it was getting light outside but hey. and you stipulation to learn when you should go to bed in charge to achieve things in life. and if your dad a moment ago tells you when to go to bed then you don't really swot up. so yeah. you need to figure out what time to sleep is good for you. and what time to find up. for school, work, blaaa blaaa blaaa.
I fell what your saying, but there are no reason to stay up. I mean I'd love to help you and myself but there aren't any reason.
hmm your 15 and you have a bedtime?.wow i thought my parents had me on lock. well it depends if you hold to get up early for some reason, but if why have a bed time during the SUMMER that is childish.
I bet your dad isn't just referring to your marks but probably your growth because our sleep affects our growth.
Answers:    You should get to stay up till midnight im 13 and i stay up till 1 everynight somtimes following!
well possibly not 3 am cuz thats a little jupy try to nagotiate with him ask what he thinks is resonable perchance? and whatever you do dont yell or breakdown! it wont get you anywhere!
